From the angle, Wesley’s back was to the camera, obscuring his face, while Tara’s face was crystal clear.
Her flushed cheeks, watery, unfocused eyes, and helpless expression painted a damning picture.
The music in the room was deafening, drowning out all voices, making it seem as if she were a willing participant.

Fury surged through Tara, and she lunged to snatch the phone. But Nina swiftly pulled it away, her smile unshaken.
“Don’t bother. I’ve saved copies in plenty of places.”
Tara leaned against the sink, trembling with anger, her eyes blazing with hatred as she glared at Nina.
Nina smirked. “Tell me, what do you think will happen if I post this video on international sites and let it go viral? Those platforms don’t have all the annoying restrictions we do here. Videos like this are no big deal over there. You wouldn’t even be able to file a lawsuit.‘
Tara’s voice was cold and steady. “Go ahead. Post the entire video, if you’re brave enough. I sprayed Wesley with a bottle of that stuff on my way out. He must’ve gone insane afterward. And when you entered Room 88 later, didn’t you get the full experience?”
Nina’s expression darkened.
The memory of Wesley’s animalistic behavior from the night before made her shudder involuntarily. Her expression turned venomous as she hissed, “What are you so smug about? The video’s in my hands. I’ll post whatever part I want!”
Tara’s gaze fell on the bruises peeking out from beneath Nina’s scarf. She smiled faintly.‘ Judging by those marks, it must’ve been a wild night. Even your scarf can’t hide it.”
Flustered, Nina turned to the mirror, adjusting her scarf. She forced a triumphant smile. “ These? They’re from Leo!”
Tara responded coolly, “If you and Leo believe that, then that’s all that matters.”
Without another word, she left the restroom.
Outside, the officers were looking at her with complex and unreadable expressions.

Leo stood nearby, his face stormy as he barked into his phone. “Get in touch with the sites. Have them take down all the videos!”
Tara pulled out her phone.
Sure enough, the day’s events were dominating social media, trending at the top of the charts:

Countless videos from various angles had been uploaded, all captured by onlookers at the
scene.
Each video was inundated with comments, many brimming with hostility.
Nina’s fans unleashed their rage, their words so vicious they practically leapt off the screen:

“She belongs behind bars!”
“Why wasn’t she stabbed to death?!”
“Throw her in a kennel and let the dogs deal with her!”
Leo ended his call and walked over to Tara, his tone sharp with reprimand. “Why would you do something so stupid? Now the situation is out of control!”
Nina hurried over, trying to calm him down. “Leo, don’t worry. We’ll figure this out.”
His voice was icy. “Figure it out? This isn’t some fabricated trending topic–it’s real data, climbing to the top on its own!”
An officer interjected, “This has become a public incident. With so many people posting about it, it’ll be hard to suppress. Filing lawsuits for invasion of privacy or image rights would be difficult to pursue in a case like this.”
Tara gripped her phone tightly, her head bowed, remaining silent and unwilling to explain herself.
At that moment, the officers who had gone to retrieve surveillance footage from the parking lot returned.
The video was easy to locate due to the recent timestamp. It showed Tara and the middle–aged man interacting, but there was no audio, so their conversation remained a mystery.
