George’s eyes darkened with thought.
Mortimer’s words hit home.

As he watched Rachel, he realized he could no longer compare her to Callie. No, she was Rachel, and there was no mistaking it–Rachel, who was entirely different from Callie in every way.
Gracie stared at the direction of the makeup room. “Danny must be blind, or maybe he knows she’s some rich heiress and is just trying to suck up to her.”
It had to be because of Rachel’s connections to the Sarrattop Group that she was receiving all this special treatment–she was the heir, after all. That had to be the reason.
Just then, Rachel walked out of the makeup room.
She wore a red top and a white skirt, exuding an air of sharp sophistication. The vibrant colors suited her perfectly, and her light makeup, subtle but flawless, enhanced her features just enough to let her natural beauty shine through. Her face, so exquisite, was already imprinted in everyone’s mind.
A collective gasp filled the air.
“Wow…”
Danny looked over and immediately broke into a satisfied smile.
George’s gaze followed Rachel as she was ushered into the scene. The crowd around them couldn’t stop praising her, and even Rocco, over to the side, couldn’t tear his eyes away from her.
Suddenly, George felt a tightness in his chest, an uncomfortable lump that made him want to leave the set.
Furrowing his brows, he excused himself and stepped out of the scene.
But on his way back, Mortimer’s call came pouring in.
“George! You need to get online, quick! Your ex–wife’s trending again!”
George frowned. “What now?”
“It’s not what you think,” Mortimer replied, his voice laced with excitement. “She’s gone viral! Just take a look!” George froze for a moment before pulling out his phone, curious. A trending topic caught his eye.
“Tomorrow’s Dawn crew captures a stunning beauty on set.”
The image was of Rachel, shot during the filming that very day. Just a brief video clip, and within less than an hour, thousands of comments flooded in. When George opened the comment section, he found nothing but admiration for Rachel..
“She’s so beautiful. When did the entertainment industry get such a stunner?”
“Looking forward to Tomorrow’s Dawn now–this is just a guest role, and she’s already this pretty,”
“Such a striking face–she gets more gorgeous the longer you look at her.”
“I’m hooked after just one glance. What kind of man deserves a beauty like her?”

Soon enough, someone found Rachel’s Twitter account.

Though there was no official verification, it was easy enough to find. It had only a few casual photos, mostly snapshots of Rachel’s daily life, but she hadn’t posted in ages.
Her Twitter name was R.S., and one of the pictures was from her birthday, where she wore a princess hat, looking sweet and innocent. She seemed so carefree back then. Rachel hadn’t updated her account in years, but within moments, thousands of comments piled under her last post, urging her to update.
George zoomed in on the photo. ‘Is this the Rachel I used to know?‘
He suddenly realized—he’d never heard her talk about her past or her family. That joyful, radiant smile on her face back then, the one in the photo, seemed so far removed from the woman he knew today.
Why had she appeared on the side of the road, and why had she agreed to marry him?
Danny’s words hadn’t been a lie. Rachel soon wrapped up filming and left the set. She sat in the car, pulling out makeup wipes to remove the day’s cosmetics.
Just then, Herb’s call came through. “Rachel, did you go to the set?”
“How did you know? It wasn’t really acting… Danny said the third lead got replaced because of a scandal, so I stepped in to fill in. Just a quick background role, really. It was nothing.”
“Well, I thought you might be considering the entertainment industry,” Herb teased.
“Are you kidding? If I joined the entertainment industry, who’d manage the Sarrattop Group? My grandpa would flip if he found out. I’m too filial to go against him, just like my brother did.”
“Did you know you’re trending on social media now?”
Rachel paused, blinking in surprise. She grabbed her phone, opened it, and saw the trending topic.
“Wow, people actually dug up my old, inactive Twitter account?” She shook her head in disbelief.
The comments on the thread were overwhelmingly positive, and Rachel felt a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks. With a sigh, she edited a quick message.
“Thanks for all the love, but I’m not a professional actress, and I don’t plan to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. You don’t need to follow me.”
She thought that would be the end of it. But to her surprise, the comments under her tweet multiplied in seconds.
“Nooo, don’t say that! You really should consider it!”
“It’d be such a shame if you didn’t enter the industry–the entertainment world would lose a true gem.
“Forget it, I guess everyone has their own path, but if you won’t join the industry, can you at least post more pictures?”
“I’ll follow you even if you don’t act! Just post a photo once in a while, and I’ll be happy.”
“Please, just post a pic!”
Rachel stared at the screen, taken aback by the flood of enthusiasm.
She hadn’t expected such a response. Feeling both amused and a little overwhelmed, she finally decided to give the people what they wanted and posted a silly selfie where she was pulling a face.
The reaction was instant, and the comments went wild.

“You spoil us! We ask for a photo, and you deliver!”
“Even when she’s making a silly face, she’s beautiful”

“Wow, she’s so gorgeous even when she’s trying to look goofy. Imagine how stunning she must be when she’s serious”
Rachel couldn’t help but laugh at the comments. “Wow, these fans are something else. No wonder people love the internet s
much
But back at the other end of town, Callie wasn’t laughing. She was staring at Rachel’s photos, her blood boiling
Is Rachel really trying to break into the entertainment industry?
She’d said she had no interest in George, but now that George was eyeing Elysium Media for acquisition, wasn’t this all a plan to get closer to him?
Callie ground her teeth in frustration. If I had known, I never would have helped George invest in Elysium Media. Now they have a chance to spend time together, alone!
Back at the office, Rachel was greeted with a proposal from the Fox Group–or, rather, from George himself.
The plan was for a grand launch event, and they also wanted to develop a themed film studio in collaboration with the Sarrattop Group. A whole new entertainment zone–an ambitious project.
Rachel looked over the documents. “George works fast.”
Herb chuckled. He’s eager to partner with the Sarrattop Group. He probably wants a chance to meet their new president and get that direct collaboration going. This is the whole reason he invested in Elysium Media, after all–he’s trying to build a relationship with the Sarrattop Group?
Rachel pinched the bridge of her nose. So now I have to work with George on this project? That means we’ll see each other
even more often
Her mood soured. This is going to be a headache.
