Chapter 50
Rachel thought for a moment, then decided she wasn’t going to pass up an opportunity like this..

“Fine, we’ll agree to it. Since George is practically begging us to enter Burenheim City’s entertainment market, there’s no reason to refuse. But if he thinks he can use this to strike a direct deal with the Sarrattop Group, that’s not going to happen.”
Herb chuckled. “Of course. He has no idea that you’re the new president of the Sarrattop Group. There’s no way you’ll agree to that. Let him keep to his little scheme.”
The next day, Mortimer called George with the news. “The Sarrattop Group has agreed to the project. Looks like direct cooperation with them is definitely on the table.”
George wasn’t surprised. He’d known all along the Sarrattop Group would agree.
After all, he had put a lot of money into this project. They were funding most of it, but the returns would benefit the Sarrattop Group even more.
Anyone with a brain wouldn’t turn down money.
“Let’s get started on the launch event,” George said.
Soon, Rachel saw the announcement about the event. The Fox Group planned to hold the launch party at their exclusive resort on an island. And of course, it was going to be a poolside party.
Rachel didn’t really care; let them do whatever they wanted.
Herb saw the details and grinned. “Looks like you’re going to need a swimsuit, huh?”
Rachel paused, then shrugged. “I don’t swim. No need to worry about me.”
Herb raised an eyebrow, clearly puzzled. “Why? You’ve been slacking off lately, no exercise at all. You used to hit the gym every day for two hours without fail.”
Rachel didn’t know how to respond.
“Habits change,” she said quietly.
The baby was still on medication to stabilize the pregnancy. If she did anything too intense, she might risk it. Was she trying to harm herself?
Herb was still curious, but just raised an eyebrow. Women were unpredictable, he thought. Even Rachel, who seemed so different, was still a woman at the end of the day.
Herb’s comment reminded Rachel–she had been on bed rest for a while, and it was time for a checkup at the hospital.
That day, Rachel went to the hospital. The doctor performed an examination and smiled at her, saying, “Ms. Sarratt, your pregnancy is progressing very well. The baby is healthy, so you can rest easy. Remember, your mood is crucial for the baby’s health. The better you feel, the healthier the baby will be. Keep it up!”
Rachel gently rubbed her belly.
The baby was stronger than she thought.
It seemed fate had decided she would carry this child to term.
Since returning to the Sarratt family, she had indeed felt much better. It was true–men could affect a woman’s health. The three years she spent with George had left her physically drained. She had to stay away from men in the future.

Chapter 50
She packed up to leave, and since she had come to the hospital in secret, she drove herself.
As she drove away, she saw a car coming toward her. The vehicle seemed to be heading straight for her, and Rachel instinctively swerved. But it was too late.
The two cars collided. Luckily, because she had swerved, the impact was only on one side.
Rachel frowned as she got out of the car.
“Do you have any idea who we are? If you’d actually hit us, you wouldn’t be able to pay for it with all your money,” she snapped.
Just then, a familiar voice came from the other car.
Willa stepped out, followed by Callie, who was clutching her stomach with a worried expression.
Seeing Rachel standing by the car, Willa’s face twisted with rage.
“You! Rachel! What’s this? Did you purposely try to crash into us? You really have some nerve, don’t you?”
Rachel crossed her arms and coldly scanned the driver, who was sweating as he stepped out of the car.

“If your eyesight’s bad, maybe you should ask your driver who can’t drive properly and crashed into me,” she retorted.
Willa, however, was undeterred. She looked Rachel up and down and sneered. “Don’t try to play innocent. What are you even doing here? This is a maternity hospital. You’re not going to tell me you’re here for a check–up, are you?”

This hospital was the most expensive maternity hospital in Burenheim City. It was known for its top–notch confidentiality, excellent service, and sky–high fees.
Rachel certainly wasn’t about to admit she was here for pregnancy care.
Seeing Rachel hesitate for a moment, Willa grew even more confident in her assumptions.
With a malicious expression, she pointed at Rachel and yelled, “So, you think you’re off the hook for trying to kill Callie’s baby, huh? You really are heartless. The baby in Callie’s womb is the Fox family’s heir. If anything happens to it, the Fox family will make you pay with your life!”
Rachel frowned. “If you don’t believe me, call the police. You’re not a cop, and you’re certainly not a judge. I don’t have to listen to your little trial.”
With that, Rachel turned to leave, but Willa rushed over, blocking her way.
“Think you can run? Not a chance. You’re not leaving until I peel a layer of skin off you,” Willa snarled. She shot the driver a look. “Go call for backup.”
Security guards quickly arrived on the scene.
“We’re from the Fox family. Callie is carrying the Fox family’s bloodline. This woman deliberately crashed into us. You all saw it, right? Don’t let her leave. If she runs, you’re all involved,” Willa barked at the guards.
The security guards hesitated, glancing nervously between Callie, who was heavily pregnant, and Rachel, who was driving a Rolls–Royce. They didn’t know how to react.
Noticing their hesitation, Willa scoffed. “What are you waiting for? You don’t seriously think this gold–digger is some rich lady, do you? This car probably isn’t even hers. She’s just some sugar baby! Are you really scared of her?”
With a haughty laugh, Willa continued, “Is this Herb’s car? You’re driving his car and crashed it like this. I can’t wait to see how you explain this to your sugar daddy.”

Rachel let out a cold snort. “I don’t want to argue with you, but now you’re pushing your luck, huh?”
She hadn’t planned on letting them figure out why she was at the maternity hospital–she was ready to leave.
But it seemed that Willa really didn’t want her to go.

Rachel sneered. “I don’t want to waste my time with you. But if you really think you can stop me, I’ll make sure you regret it.”
Willa let out a mocking laugh. “Really? You? You never even drove a car when you were with the Fox family. I bet you don’t even know how to drive. How did you even get this car? Did you steal it from your sugar daddy? Maybe you were planning to run us over on purpose, huh?”
Callie, who was still holding her stomach, added with suspicion, “Rachel, you wouldn’t have just grabbed some random car and driven it out, would you?”
