The more Willa thought about it, the more convinced she became.

“You really are clueless, aren’t you? But I guess it makes sense. Someone like you could never afford a luxury car on your own. You’re just ignorant.”
She turned to the security guards and snapped, “What are you standing there for? Get her under control! If she escapes, it’s on you.”
Rachel felt the frustration rise in her. She furrowed her brow and, with a swift motion, kicked one of the security guards to the ground.
Willa screamed at the top of her lungs.
“Quick! Quick! This crazy woman dares to hit someone! Get her now!” she shrieked.
Callie, wide–eyed, couldn’t believe what she’d just witnessed. Rachel, a thin, seemingly fragile woman, had effortlessly knocked down a towering security guard.
What if she really meant to hurt the baby inside me…
Callie stepped back, trembling, and hid behind Willa.
“Willa, help me…” she whispered in panic.
Willa’s eyes hardened.
“Rachel, how dare you claim you’re not here to hurt anyone? You couldn’t kill us with the crash, so now you’re going after Callie, aren’t you?”
The security guards quickly huddled together, murmuring, “Boss, this woman really seems to have some issues.”
Willa’s voice grew sharper. “Then what are you waiting for? Get her!”
The guards rushed forward, but before they could even come close, Rachel casually rubbed her wrist and, with a few swift movements, knocked each of them to the ground.
Callie’s face went pale.
Willa, too, staggered back in shock, her complexion ashen.
How could Rachel take down all these men so easily?
Willa couldn’t believe her eyes.
Just then, George came.
“George!” Willa called out, as though she had just seen a savior. She rushed to the back and shouted desperately,
Callie, too, lit up with relief. She hurried toward George, clutching her stomach. “George, help! Rachel–Rachel wants to hurt our baby! I’m so scared!”
George, his face stern, caught Callie and then turned his gaze toward Rachel.
Rachel let out a short huff, taking a step back to distance herself from the groaning security guards lying on the ground.
Willa quickly spoke up, “George, you’re finally here! Look, this vile woman’s true nature is showing. She’s beaten up all the

security guards and is about to hurt Callie! If you don’t stop her now, your baby won’t make it.”
George moved between them, his presence like a wall.
“What’s going on?” he asked, his voice calm but sharp.

Willa quickly spun her version of events, embellishing every detail. “Rachel must have known we were coming for a check- up. She drove here to run us off the road! She’s just so evil. She can’t have kids herself, so she’s jealous of Callie’s pregnancy and wants to hurt us!”
Rachel chuckled coldly. “You really know how to spin a tale, don’t you? I’m not that bored. If you don’t believe me, George, you can check the surveillance footage. It’ll show exactly who’s in the wrong.”
Willa’s eyes went wide. “Ha! How ridiculous. You specifically drove here, and this is a maternity hospital. What else would you be doing here, if not trying to harm us? You even attacked the security guards! What else could you want but to hurt us?”
George furrowed his brows. “What are you doing here, Rachel?”
Rachel glanced away, avoiding his gaze. “I’m just consulting, is that so hard to believe?”
“Consulting?” George echoed.
“Why not?” Rachel replied nonchalantly. “It’s not like this place is owned by your family. I can come here anytime I want.”
Willa sneered. “Funny. You drive your sugar daddy’s car here, crash into us, and now you expect us to believe you weren’t doing it on purpose?”
Rachel opened the car door, grabbed the registration, and handed it to Willa. “Lady, surely you can read, right? If so, take a good look. I told you, it’s my car. I’m not asking for any compensation. I’m just not interested in wasting my time with you.”
Both Willa and Callie stared, disbelieving.
“This can’t be your car,” Willa said, snatching the registration from Rachel’s hand.
When she saw that the car was indeed registered to Rachel, she checked it several times, as if the name on the paper could somehow change.
“No way. This can’t be your car. Is Herb really this generous? He bought you such an expensive car?”
Rachel smirked and grabbed the registration back from her. “You’ve got quite the imagination, Willa.”
“And what about the beating?” Willa screeched. “I didn’t know you could hit people. So violent! You’re definitely not some sweet, demure woman. You must have been a little hoodlum in the past, huh? All that act you put on at the Fox family -‘virtuous and gentle,‘ you had us all fooled. Turns out, it was all a facade.”
Rachel chuckled dryly. “Willa, you should be thankful. You should be glad to know that I’m not someone you can push around. All those times you treated me like garbage, I didn’t lay a finger on you. I gave you face. And now, you’ve reminded
me…”
As she spoke, Rachel stretched out her arm and made a fist. Willa flinched, about to cover her head, but Rachel stopped, her expression unreadable.
“What do you think you’re doing…?” Willa stammered, her voice shaky. “I–I never bullied you!”
Rachel’s lips curled up in disdain. “No bullying? Do you need me to remind you, Willa? The day after our wedding, you came into my room and made me get up from bed and clean the whole villa. Remember that?”
Willa froze.

Rachel continued, “And how about the time you called me over during dinner and kept me there for hours, lecturing me? when you had me washing your clothes by hand in the middle of a snowstorm? Or when you faked being sick so I’d take care of you–feeding you, cleaning up after you? Wasn’t that you?”
Willa seethed. “Rachel, I’m your mother–in–law! I told you to take care of me–that’s your duty! How dare you call that bullying? I’m your elder!”
Rachel scoffed. “You’re not even George’s real mother. You’ve spent how many years as a mistress? I’ve treated you with enough respect by addressing you properly.”
Willa’s face turned crimson with rage.
“Rachel, you bitch!” she hissed. “How dare you…”
She lunged at Rachel, but…
A large hand shot out and stopped her in her tracks.
It was George.
Willa looked up at him in shock, her anger faltering.
“George…” she stammered.
“Is Rachel telling the truth?” George’s gaze was cold, and his frown deepened.
Willa instantly felt the fury radiating from him.
