Rachel quickly took a few steps back, and Herb, after a moment of confusion, finally recognized the woma
“Ms. Fox,” he said, his voice cold and distant. “We’re not really acquainted, so there’s no need to greet me

Sybil was momentarily thrown off by his icy reception, but quickly regained her composure, flashing a smile. “Well, we’ll soon enough, won’t we! Why not have some fun while we’re here?”
Herb’s response was blunt. “Sorry, I’m not here for fun. I have work to do.Enjoy your time, Ms. For”
that, he turned and hurried into the resort.

Sybil shot Rachel a glare, her smile faltering, but Rachel, unfazed, enjoyed the drama for a moment before breezily walking inside.
Sybil although irritated, couldn’t help but feel a flicker of satisfaction. Callie was right. Herb’s here, just as I thought. Now, I’ve got two days to steal him away from Rachel.
Rachel and Herb checked into the resort, and to avoid any trouble, Herb had reserved a private villa for them. Standing by the large windows, Rachel gazed out at the vast ocean, feeling a rare sense of relaxation. It had been a long time since shed lud a moment like this.
As she stood there, she couldn’t help but reflect on the three years she had spent with the Fox family. “How much had she given up! The thought lingered, but she pushed it aside, letting the peaceful surroundings, wash over her.
She stepped out onto the shoreline, letting the cool breeze tousle her hair. Just then, she heard laughter behind her.
“Mr. Hoover, you don’t want this one?
“Mr. Hoover!”
Rachel turned, sporting a man armed with a water gun, spraying it at every bikini–clad woman around him. “Kamron Hoover, she thought, immediately recognizing him from Herb’s description.
Just as Herbs said this guy’s got no shame.
Kamron was surrounded by more than twenty women, each one more beautiful than the last. Rachel was about to turn and leave, but Kamron’s voice stopped her in her tracks.
“Hey, there’s a beautiful lady over here!”
Rachel hadn’t dressed provocatively–just a simple, flowing long dress, with an exotic vibe, and the sea breeze made it feel like the perfect vacation look.
But what she didn’t realize was that while many of the tourists here were dressed similarly, her fair skin in the glaring sunlight made her stand out like a glowing beacon
Kamron, his interest piqued, walked toward her with a confident swagger.
“Why are you out here alone! Too luncly, right? Come join us for some fun.”.
Rachel offered a polite smule. “Mr. Hoover, no need. I’m from the Sarrattop Group. Herb must have mentioned me to you. We can talk later. Please, enjoy your seн”
Kamron’s eyes lit up at the mention of Sarration Group. “Oh The Sarrattop Group brought such a beauty? If I’d known, I wouldn’t have brushed Herb off earlier.”
“It’s not an interruption,” he insisted, stepping closer. “Come, let’s chat.”
Rachel didn’t want to escalate things, so she smiled again and refused, “have some work to finish first. Once I’m done, I’ll talk to you in more
The other women around Kamron, noticing his sudden interest in Rachel, exchanged glances and grew visibly annoyed
They walked up to Rachel, their smiles dripping with fake sweetness. “Mr. Hoover wants you to join him. Are you really going to refuse! How rude.”
Rachel, unfazed, chuckled. “I have a legitimate job, so I don’t need to compete with you all for attention:
“What did you just say?” one of the women snappeil, stepping forward. “Say that again?
“How dare you talk to us like that? You think you’re too good for us? another woman steered
“You’re just a trophy, pretending to be all proper, but we know what you’re really about. Those big companies only want women like you for one thing, the leader of the group spat, looking Rachel up and down with disdain

“You think you’re all high and mighty, but you’re just here to play the game like everyone else. What, you’re pretending you don’t know why you were brought here!” Another woman sneered.
Rachel held her ground, unfazed by the barrage of insults.
One woman laughed cruelly. “We all know these ‘proper‘ girls, acting all innocent, but in bed? Total transformation–wilder than anyone else. That’s
the fun of it.
The leader of the group looked Rachel up and down with a cruel smirk, her eyes filled with judgment.
Behind them, Kamron stood idly by, watching the scene unfold. He wasn’t in any hurry to intervene, letting the women have their fun as they
berated Rachel
Just as Rachel stood there, the target of their insults, Kamron finally stepped forward, pushing through the women. “Hey, what’s going on here?”
The women, seeing him approach, quickly turned on their best sweet–and–sour act. “Mr. Hoover, this woman’s being so disrespectful to you. We’re just stepping in to defend your honor.”
Kamron smiled at Rachel, his voice smooth. “What do you mean, disrespectful? Come here, let’s talk. I know why the Sarrattop Group is here. We can have a nice, detailed conversation”
Rachel, who was used to men underestimating her, held her ground, her face calm. Kamron’s assumptions about her were painfully obvious, but she had no intention of indulging his game.
Before Kamron could reach out and grab her arm, a new figure appeared behind him, taking him by surprise
It was George.
Rachel froze, staring at the man who had just stepped into the scene. Dressed in a simple white oversized T–shirt, George, despite his usual gloom, looked unexpectedly bright in the sunlight, perfectly suited to the seaside vibe.
The women instinctively fell silent, suddenly unsure of how to react.
Rachel, equally surprised, thought to herself, “What on earth is he doing here?”

George smiled softly, addressing Kamron. “Mr. Hoover, long time no see.
Kamron, somewhat taken aback, paused for a moment before responding. “Ah, Mr. Fox. What brings you here?”
George smiled, his demeanor completely relaxed. Just a little family vacation. We’re also planning to build a new resort here, so I thought I’d come check things out. By the way, Rachel, what are you doing here?”
Rachel chuckled nervously, thinking. This guy truly loves playing the hero. Does he think he’s saving me?”
She didn’t need saving–especially not from him.
“Work, she replied dryly.
Kamron, still processing the situation, glanced between the two of them. “You two seem quite familiar with each other.
George nodded. “Yes, actually. Oh, by the way. I’ve arranged a sea fishing trip on a yacht. Mr. Hoover, you should join us when you have the time.”
Kamron, though reluctant, smiled. “Sounds great. I’ll… gladly join you.” He looked at Rachel one more time, his interest still clear, but with George standing there, he knew he had to let it go for now.
There will be other opportunities; Kamron thought. This woman… she’ll be mine.
