He was just as insufferable as ever.
George smirked coldly.

Rachel’s eyes flickered.
They didn’t know she was Miss Sarrattop Group. And neither did George.
She laughed, a touch of sarcasm in her voice. “Three years of marriage, and you still don’t know who I am?”
George’s expression darkened, his lips pressing into a thin line.
Before he could respond, the men from earlier were already closing in again.
“Oh, you filthy bitch, still got the nerve to fight back one of them sneered.
George’s eyes flashed with anger.
Rachel’s smile was soft, but it carried an edge. “Mr. Fox, how about this? You take care of these guys for me, and I’ll knock off 30 million from your divorce settlement”
George didn’t flinch. He wasn’t the slightest bit amused. “What do you think I am?”
Did she really think 30 million dollars could buy him as some hired muscle!
He tightened his lips, staring down at the n men.
“No need for that. We’re not divorced yet. You’re still my wife, and I don’t want to be cheated on”
With that, he suddenly swept Rachel into his arms, lifting her effortlessly as he kicked one of the men in the chest, sending him stumbling back. Rachel, still dazed, could only watch as he handled the situation with precision and ease.
The thugs, realizing they were no match for George, quickly retreated,
George didn’t follow them. Instead, he felt something was wrong. Rachel’s grip on his shirt tightened, her once sharp eyes now glazed and distant, almost as if she were intoxicated, a strange, alluring expression on her face.
“What did they give herr George’s suspicions flared as he noticed the shift in her demeanor. He glanced around, then stepped into a nearby lounge. He placed Rachel on the bed, turning to fetch some water. But before he could move, Rachel yanked his arm, pulling him back.
“Don’t

George’s heart skipped a beat.

He stared deep into her crystal–clear eyes, his resolve softening in an instant.

not leaving. Im just getting you some water,” he said, his voice gentler than usual.
Rachel held onto his arm like it was the only thing grounding her.
She was barely in control now. Whatever drug they’d given her wasn’t instant, but once it hit, it overwhelmed her

“You’re worse than an animal,” she spat
This was griting out of hand.
“Why did I even marry you?” George’s voice trembled with frustration. “What was the point, Rachel?
