Did they seriously call me average–looking?” Rachel scrolled through the comments, her fingers moving quickly over the screen. She clicked a few buttons and directed her staff, “Delete all the photos. As for the rest, let them say whatever they want.”
It was just Rocyn. Rachel didn’t care enough to get worked up over it. There were plenty of ways to deal with a celebrity, especially one like him.
And as for those fans! Let them defend him now. They’d see how loyal they were when Rocco’s recklessness pissed off the Sarratt family.
“George, have you seen the trending topic? Your ex–wife is all over the news,” Mortimer said as he hurried to inform George.
George glanced at the vicious comments on the screen
“Tall the news down now. Who the hell took these photos and leaked them)”
“No idea. There were so many people at the shoot. Who knows who had the guts to post them, Mortimer replied, his brow furrowed.
But just as Mortimer was about to take action, he noticed the story had already disappeared.
“What the hell Someone’s faster than us The story’s already gone.”
Mortimer paused and a thought crossed his mind. “Could it have been Herb! Did he use the Sarrattop Group’s power to get the story removed! That’s a bit extreme, don’t you think?”
George glanced up at Mortimer, his expression cold and deadly.
Mortimer immediately fell silent, sensing the dangerous tension in George’s eyes.
It was a nightmare—his wife had ended up in a scandal with a celebrity, and the man handling the fallout was her current lover. The whole situation was complicated messy, and uncomfortable.
For the first time, Mortimer actually felt a twinge of sympathy for George.
Meanwhile, Rachel carried on without skipping a beat. Find out what Rocco’s got lined up, any upcoming projects.”
Her secretary
y quickly placed a file in front of her.
This is everything Rocco is involved with right now–deals he’s negotiating, potential signings, and companies interested in working with him.”
Rocco was still one of the biggest stars in the industry, and his business prospects were impressive.
“Stan telling people subtly–any company linked to him? We’re no longer working with them,” Rachel instructed.
Yes, Ms. Sarratt‘
The secretary couldn’t help but feel sorry for Rocco. To be on top and then lose everything because of some loudmouthed fans… It was a shame. He lud made the mistake of crossing Rachel, and now he’d have to pay the price.
The next day, Rachel was unfazed as
the
braded out. But as soon as she reached the door, she was blocked by someone.
“Ms. Sarratt, Mr. 5
Sarratt said it’s your welcome party today, and he wants you to head over to prepare
Rachel frowned, giving the messenger an incredulous look “Who said. I’m going to that?”
“But without the guest of honor, what’s a welcome party?” the person hesitated, unsure of how to respond.
“Ti busy” Hachel snapped “Whoever arrangeid this can deal with it. Ten not going.”
Without waiting for a reply, she made to leave.
But just as the tuned, Bryant appeared behind her.
“Rachel, don’t go”

ridiculous party, alright?”
The
e warm, carefree relationship they once had was
is gone, and Rachel had no intention of going back.
“No. You’re not leaving. I’m not going anywhere until you agree to go” Bryant insisted, grabbing her arm, not letting go.
They stood there for almost half an hour, with Bryant refusing to budge.
Rachel, worn out, finally gave in and looked at her stubborn father in resignation.
Who gave him the idea to drag this out?
She rubbed her forehead in frustration. “Fine, fine. I’ll go.”
“Really!” Bryant’s face lit up with a triumphant smile, and he nodded eagerly
And so, Rachel found herself coerced into attending the “welcome party,” wearing the red gown Bryant adored. He’d always loved seeing Rachel in red–it reminded him of happier times.
Rachel had always liked red, too, but it wasn’t just for her own reasons. She knew it was tied to her father’s preferences. The red dress accentuated her beauty, bringing out her flawless features. The bold, eye–catching color contrasted against her long hair, making her look both stunning and regal. Her delicate facial features–perfect nose, sculpted brows–gave off an alluring, high–class aura that demanded attention.
Bryant, clearly pleased, beamed as he led her into the extravagant venue.
“This is what you wanted, right? Do you like the party?” he asked, his voice full of pride.
Rachel surveyed the lavish banquet, appreciating the opulence, though it wasn’t quite her style. She couldn’t help but feel that her father’s taste for excess hadn’t changed at all.
“Rachel.”
Her gaze snapped to Gracie, who stood there, looking more than a little emotional
For a moment, Rachel hesitated, then a cold, superior smile appeared on her face as she casually said, “Gracie. It’s been a while.”
*Rachel. I came to find you. I heard the Sarratt family was hosting a dinner, and I just knew you’d be here,” Gracie said, her voice filled with nervous energy.
Bryant, ever the protector, immediately stepped in front of Rachel, blocking Gracie’s path. “You have the audacity to show up here? After everything we’ve done for you? You ungrateful little snake.”
“Enough” Rachel snapped, turning to give her father a warning look.
Bryant, realizing he had overstepped, quickly apologized, covering his mouth.
Im sorry, Rachel. I was wrong back then. I see that now…” Gracie’s voice trailed off, full of regret.
Rachel took a deep breath before responding. “Dad, go inside. I need to speak with her alone.”
“But…” Bryant started to protest, but a single look from Rachel made him back off. He muttered under his breath and turned away, reluctantly entering the party.
Once they were alone, Gracie hurried to explain, “Rachel, we’ve known each other forever. Whenever you bought something, I always got one too. I know how kind you’ve been to me. We were like sisters. I should’ve told you about Rocco, but I didn’t. I was wrong”
Rachel crossed her arms, clearly irritated. “Get to the point, Gracie. I’m really busy right now?
Cracie’s voice faltered. “When Rocco and I met, it was love at first sight. I should’ve told you, I know. But I didn’t. And I’m sorry. I saw the news… Rachel, please, don’t see him again. We’re still together, and we’re about to get engaged.”
