Callic watched as the luxury car, a limited edition, roared to life and drove off. Passersby were immediately drawn to the car, their eyes wide with envy, admiring the wealth it represented.
But Callie was confused, wondering. How can someone like Rachel–an orphan with no background–afford a car like that?
Her eyes narrowed, and she lifted her head, her voice laced with bitterness. “How could Rachel afford all of this?”
George’s chest tightened as his mind was still clouded with thoughts of Rachel
Callie grew even more agitated. “George, are you even listening to me?”
“You said something” George finally snapped back to reality.
“Rachel must have planned all of this to humiliate me. She must be so in love with you that she can’t stand it,” Callie said, her voice dripping with resentment.
George thought, Planned a scene? His eyes flickered slightly, his curiosity piqued,
“We’re getting a divorce soon, so just stay away from her George said
Callie’s eyes were shining with a mix of hope and anxiety as she stared at George. The way he had looked at Rachel earlier stirred an unfamiliar, unsettling feeling in her chest.
Back then, she had taken the money from Sigmund Fox and promised to leave George. But when she returned, she found out that George had gone from being the son of the Fox family, with no inheritance rights, to becoming the family’s top heir.
That was when she

But at that time, he had married Rachel, an orphan. It wasn’t until she saw how Rachel resembled her that she allowed herself to believe that George might still have feelings for her
Yet, Rachel was the obstacle standing in her way y of becoming the true Mrs. Fox. She needed to get closer to George, to show everyone that she was the only one who deserved to be Mr. Fox.
With this in mind, Callie suddenly asked, “George, I heard that the head of Sarrano Group has come to Burenheim City to expand the market. Are you going to attend their banquei? I… I was wondering if I could come with you?”
George pinched the bridge of his nose, lost in thought. “This is an event that Rachel should attend with me. But now…

“Miss, are you alright?” the driver asked.

When she regained consciousness, she could hear a doctor’s voice saying, “We need to do a thorough examination. The patient’s condition seems
Rachel slowly opened her eyes, still dazed. Then she realized, ‘Am I not supposed to be at the city hall How have I ended up here?
“Doctor, what happened to me?” Rachel asked, looking around. She was in a VIP hospital room, still disoriented.
“Ms. Sarran, you arrived with a fever. After an examination, we found out that you’re pregnant, the doctor said cautiously

Rachel was stunned for a moment, then quickly recovered and replied. “I’ve been pregnant before, but I miscarried yesterday after someone pushed me.”
“What?” The doctor sounded even more shocked. “But according to our tests, the embryo is still there.”
Rachel’s eyes widened as she snatched the report from the doctor’s hand. It confirmed that she was two months pregnant, and the embryo and heartbeat were still present. She wondered, “What is going on!
“It’s possible that you were just showing signs of a miscarriage, but not a full one. The embryo is unstable right now, so you need to take precautions to protect it,” the doctor continued.
Rachel was left feeling confused and lost. She was about to get a divorce, but now she found out she was still carrying George’s child. The news threw
rew her completely off balance. She wondered, ‘How could this happen”
“Ms. Sarratt… Mr. Sarratt is asking why you haven’t arrived at the banquet yet. Joey Wright called from the door.
She thought, What should I do about the baby? The thought of facing Martin made her uneasy. She decided it would be best not to tell him for
now.
“Alright, I’ll be there soon, she responded.
The

George remained expressionless as he walked into the banquet with Callie. His jet–black hair, untamed and rebellious, contrasted with his sharp. tailored suit.
His presence was commanding–arrogant, confident, cold, and domineering–like an untouchable ruler, every inch of him exuding power and beaury.
The crowd couldn’t help but marvel. George had actually shown up at the banquet, and everyone was buzzing with curiosity about Callie at his
side.
They thought, ‘George has never brought a female companion to an event before–could this woman be the future Mrs. Fox!”
Admiration, surprise, and envy filled the room, and Callie’s vanity swelled with satisfaction. She’d known it all along–George’s status had changed. He was no longer the same man before.
But just then, a sharp gasp rang out from the entrance of the hall. The crowd turned to see the source of the noise.
A breathtaking beauty in a red gown walked gracefully into the glittering banquet hall.
