Chapter 6
I felt anger rise in me. How could he say something like that? “Of course not,” I said coldly. “A woman of the Outfit only has her first kiss on her wedding day.”
His smile grew bigger, like a wolf’s, and I realized I’d fallen for his trap. He’s gonna my pride and use it as weakness against me.
Nicolas’s POV
She kept her head high, even though she’d made a mistake. Her long blonde hair fell down her back. Her blue eyes looked at me, as if I wasn’t important. Perfect.
She was highborn and proud, but she was about to fall hard.
“So proud, so cold,” I said, running a finger down her check and neck. “Just like your uncle.” She turned away, disgusted.
I laughed. “That Outfit pride. I can’t wait to take it from you.”
“I’ll take that pride to my grave,” she said with her nose in the air.
I moved even closer, my body lightly pressing against hers. “Killing you isn’t what I want, believe me.” I let my eyes travel over her body. “I can think of more interesting things”
ng her scared her. It cracked
Terror flashed in her eyes, but it was gone quickly. But I saw it. She wasn’t scared of death, but the thought of me touching her pride just a little.
“So, you’ve never kissed a man before?” I said leaning
ng in close enough that our lips almost touched.
She stood strong,
“This will be fun”
but I saw a slight tremor in her body. She pressed her lips together, refusing to answer.
“My family and fiancé will destroy Las Vegas if you hurt me.
“Oh, I hope they try, so I can bathe in their blood,” I said. “But after I’m done with you, I doubt they’ll want to save you. Or will your flance be okay with you bring someone else’s leftover!”
She took a step back.
My smile grew wider. Her eyes flickered behind me, to someone. I followed her gaze to Tate. His eyes met mine, serious and hard. He’d known Milene since she was a child. There was a little tension in his eyes, but he wouldn’t help her. Neither would Damien or Luca
I turned back to her. “Nobody will save you, so stop hoping for it.”
She narrowed her eyes. “I decide what to hope for. You may rule Las Vegas and your men, but you don’t rule me, Nicolas.
No one had ever said my name like that. It excited me. “Oh, Milene,” I said darkly, “That’s where you’re wrong. And I’ll show you.”
“And I’ll show you that you’re wrong” she said. Her blue eyes looked at me, full of control and pride. But I’d already seen a crack in her mask. I knew how to get to her.
“As much as I like this conversation, let me remind you why you’re here. To pay for your uncle Dante’s
mistake.”
A flash of fear crossed her eyes. I let my eyes travel over her, to her torn wedding dress, now stained with blood.
“We need to send your uncle a message,” I said softly. I nodded at Tare. Take her to the basement. I’ll join you in a few minutes” I wanted to see how Tate would react.
Tate’s jaw tightened, but he nodded quickly. He grabbed Milene’s wrist, and she tensed but didn’t fight him. Not like she would’ve fought me. He pulled her along. She didn’t beg, like I thought she might. Instead, she gave me another disgusted look. She thought she could still defy me, keep her pride. I’d show her why I was the boss of the Outfit.
“What are you going to do to her?” Damien asked, trying to sound calm, but he wasn’t as cold as me. He still had some humanity left.
“What I said. Let her record a message for her uncle Dante and maybe some extra footage,” I said.
“So, you’re going to fuck her for the camera or marry her first!” Damien asked.
I look at him and then at Tate, who was watching me carefully. I smiled. “Don’t spoil the surprise. We’ll all watch the video together once it’s ready

and let it play out”
I nodded to them and headed downstairs. When I entered the basement hallway, Tate stepped out from the last door and closed it. His eyes locked onto mine. He met me halfway and grabbed my arm. I raised an eyebrow.
“Milene’s virginity is leverage against Dante and Daniel.”
I narrowed my eyes at him. “Thanks for the advice. Tate. I’m the boss here. I’ve thought it through. Don’t worry.”
“Have you?” Tate muttered. I pulled him closer.
“Careful. You’ve betrayed me for a woman before. Don’t make that mistake again.”
Tate shook his head. “Fuck. I’m loyal. I went with you to Indianapolis, took Milene, didn’t go after my father like I wanted to. I locked her up for you.”
“Good.” I said, stepping back. “Milene’s my prisoner, and I decide what happens to her, Got it?”
“Got it,” Tate said, gritting his teeth. “Can I go to my girlfriend now?”
“Go. I’ll have Simon watch Milene’s cell tonight.
“He’s a weirdo, Nicolas.
“He knows I’ll cut his dick off if he goes against my orders. Now go have fun with your girl while I handle mine.”
