Chapter 19 Kicked Out
Linda thought Jazlyn had been stunned into silence when she suddenly froze.
Finished
With a cold sneer, Linda turned to the staff and snapped, “What are you waiting for? Get them out of here! Or are you not interested in me loading my card with 100,000 dollars?”
A 100,000–dollar card was no small matter, and the manager wasn’t about to let that go.
He quickly stepped forward, sizing up Linda in her designer outfit and then glancing at the two dressed women. It didn’t take long for him to make a decision.
“I’m sorry, but we can’t accommodate you two today. Please leave immediately,” the manager said firmly.
Emily’s eyes widened in disbelief. She glared at him and asked angrily, “What do you mean by that? We can pay just like anyone else! Why are you telling us to leave?”
Behind her, Linda casually admired her perfectly manicured nails and said mockingly, “Don’t embarrass yourselves. They’ve already said they don’t want to serve you. Are you planning to loiter here? Manager, if you kick them out, I’ll load 200,000 dollars onto my card.”
The manager’s eyes lit up at the offer. He immediately turned back and barked at Jazlyn and Emily, “You need to leave. Now.”
“I’m a paying customer! Why should I leave?” Emily protested, refusing to back down.
The manager’s expression darkened as he gestured toward the security guards.
Without hesitation, the guards stepped forward, grabbed Jazlyn and Emily by the arms, and began dragging them out.
“Still refusing to leave? Do you think you’re above the rules? We don’t need customers like you here,” one guard scoffed.
Compared to customers who could casually treat this place as their regular lunch spot, someone scrimping and saving for a single meal was expendable.
Linda laughed openly, reveling in the scene. Seeing Jazlyn, who used to always outshine her, reduced to such a pathetic state filled her with glee.
As Jazlyn and Emily were dragged toward the exit like trash, Jazlyn finally had enough. She shoved the guard away, her voice steady and commanding as she said, “Do you have any idea who I am? If you dare lay another finger on me, my husband won’t let you get away with it.”
Jazlyn looked at Linda’s smug expression and then glanced at Emily, who was already fuming with anger.
Emily had just returned and had to endure this kind of humiliation with her. Jazlyn couldn’t accept it.
Her words made the guards hesitate. They stopped, startled by her sudden show of authority.
Linda was momentarily stunned before bursting into laughter. “Your husband? Are you talking about that old man who got bored of you and threw you out?”
Jazlyn fixed her gaze on Linda. “You really shouldn’t believe every rumor you hear. Who told you I was thrown out? Was it your petty boyfriend, Julian? Is he still nursing some grudge against me? After all these years with you, is he still hung up on me? Is that why he keeps badmouthing me behind my back?”
“You…”
Linda was practically shaking with rage.
“Jazlyn, you shameless liar! Who’s hung up on you?”
