“Give Landon a call right now. And cancel your flight. I know you’re planning on running away again,” demanded.
Linda
I looked at her and felt tears forming in my eyes. “But Linda, do you think Landon and I will end up like that tog
“You won’t,” she denied.
“Why won’t we?” I asked.
Linda retorted, “Because I believe that he’s a man with enough self–control, who would rather stay single than settle. There’s no way he would be stupid enough to lose the girl he loves after he finally gets her. Do you think he’s a pig like Hansen?”
I shook my head. There was no way he would be like Hanser
“So, give him a call, babe. You have no idea how happy he’d be,” Linda said.
I knew Landon would be happy. But I never imagined that a man in his late 20s, a CEO who had taken over his family’s business and achieved outstanding success, would sound so happy when he got my call.
Linda smiled and looked at me. “Christine, are you happy?!
I nodded. “I think I am.”
“See? You’re happy, Landon’s even happier, isn’t everything settled?” Linda said.
Then, she couldn’t help but let out a laugh. “Now, just imagining how miserable Hansen will be in the future makes me incredibly happy.”
“That might not be the case. He might already have someone else,” I said.
I let out an indifferent smile. “Linda, let’s not bring him up anymore.”
I said those words so calmly. There was no trace of emotion in my heart at all.
It was as if he truly had nothing to do with me anymore.
When Landon’s car arrived outside, I happened to walk out of the bar.
