During university, I helped the person who sat next to me, Jessica Sugden, deliver a love letter to Jonny, and as a result, someone found out and mistakenly thought I liked him.
At the time, I couldn’t exactly say who the letter was from.
“That love letter, you didn’t read it, right? It wasn’t written by me, I don’t like you at all.”
I watched with my own eyes as Jonny took the letter and threw it into the trash can around the corner.
Megan laughed. “Look, she still won’t admit it. She might be too shy.”
“The envelope of the love letter had a beautiful hand–drawn blue whale on it, and I could never draw that. I also don’t want to reveal her name, after all, it’s quite embarrassing. She’s a lawyer now, surrounded by elite men. A guy like you, with a big head and ears, would never be her type now.”
I knew that, based on his current situation, Jonny was not worthy of Jessica.
After I finished speaking, the people around us started gossiping.
A classmate guessed, “Could it be Jessica? I heard she flies all over the world handling big cases. She’s probably too busy for a small gathering like this.”
“She even married a foreigner, a really rich one,” another classmate added.
“What would you like to drink?” Jonny coughed twice to change the subject and handed me the menu.
However, Lily laughed maliciously. “This is putting someone in a difficult position. She doesn’t know how to order. She’s probably never had anything on this menu.”
I pushed the menu towards her.
She called the waiter over and picked two wines.
“I ordered wine No. 1. You can try it later.”
“It might taste different from what you’re used to. You should be able to tell right away,” Megan said with an indifferent tone
I smiled slightly and replied calmly, “Really? I don’t drink California wine much. Why not try Romanee–Conti instead? I’ve never had this one before. I’m worried it

might be too expensive and you guys wouldn’t be able to handle it.”
“The wine should suit the status of the people drinking it.”
