Chapter 7 The kindest person
Immediately after she went into Harman’s office, Harman went straight to the point and said, “Giselle, I heard that you have finished a new design which is better than the one you gave Lynne yesterday.”
Giselle nodded, “Yeah, a better idea suddenly occurred to me, so I just drew it.”
“Then give it to Lynne.” Harman didn’t even try to hide his despicable thoughts and spoke to her imperatively.
Giselle’s heart was filled with pent–up frustration and sadness. She thought, Why didn’t I realize that you, Harman Sanders, were a jerk before?
She didn’t say yes to him as usual. Instead, she rejected him, saying, “No. I’ll keep my design this time. Didn’t I just give her a draft yesterday?“}
Harman’s face darkened. “I know the one you drew today is better. Don’t try to fool me! Besides, why do you have to keep it? Lynne will become a well–known designer worldwide as long as she wins the jewelry contest tomorrow. But what can you do? Have you drawn anything in the past few years? Does anyone know about you?”
Giselle’s face went green. “Harman Sanders, how dare you say it?! No one knows about me because you have taken all my designs and given them to Lynne. I won’t give her this one no matter what you say!”
Harman realized he couldn’t force her, so he suddenly said gently, “Giselle, I know you are always the kindest person. Lynne is the most excellent designer in Sanders Jewelry. If you don’t care about Lynne, you should at least think about me. We’ll get married one day. And then Sanders Jewelry will be all yours!”
He then calmed down a little bit, “Besides, you have already given all your previous designs to her. It’s too late to talk about it now. Lynne is going to take part in the Super Jewelry Contest of McGrady Jewelry, which is really important to her. Since you have come this far, why don’t you just help her one more time? Sanders Jewelry will be the one which benefits from her fame if she becomes famous worldwide.”

Giselle was surprisingly stubborn this time. “I won’t give it to her no matter what! I’ll keep it to myself!”

Hearing that, Harman ‘s face got extremely twisted. Eventually, he waved his hands impatiently, “If you don’t want to give it to her, then don’t! Get out now!”
Then Giselle left angrily. After she went out of the office, she saved the recordings with a sneer on her face.
Before she got off work, she put the original draft in her handbag and the backup in the spot where she usually kept her designs. Then, she took out a pinhole camera and calmly stuck it to the vase on the table.
Shortly afterwards, Lynne came and said in a low voice, “Giselle, did you quarrel with Harman?“Giselle looked at her and said, “Why do you
say so?”

Lynne said despondently, “Harman wanted to invite you to dinner, but he asked me to tell you that instead.”
Though satirizing them in her heart, Giselle answered coldly, “Really?”

Lynne nodded, “Yeah, when he suggested that we should have dinner together, I immediately had the feeling that you two must have had an argument.”

At last, Giselle granted their wish and went to a famous restaurant in Mason City with them. Lynne and Harman were both seated beside the window, facing each other, and Giselle sat next to Harman.

After they ordered, Harman and Lynne talked to each other as usual while Giselle was sitting there silently. Not far away from them, Stoney, followed by his assistant, walked into the restaurant.

The assistant instantly spotted them. But somehow, he was a little embarrassed by the scene he saw. He said, “Mr. McGrady, Mrs. McGrady is over there.”

At a glance at them, Stoney noticed that Harman’s legs were tangled with Lynne’s under the table. And Lynne even reached her foot to Harman’s inner thigh.

Seeing that, Stoney put on a mocking smile and strode up to them.
