I managed to finalize the divorce. Henry Johnson surrendered all our assets to me except for his company. He believed that as long as he could hold onto his company, he could earn back the money he had given me.
When I went to take possession of the house in the neighborhood across the street, Jessica seemed unaware that this house was also mine.
“This is the house Henry Johnson bought for me. What right do you have to take it?” she screamed at me. “You’ve already gotten me expelled from school. What more do you want?”
“You got expelled because of your own actions, nothing to do with me. This house was bought by my ex–husband using marital assets. Now that he’s left with nothing, do you think I have the right to take this house or not?”
Jessica refused to leave, so I called property management to handle it. She created a huge spectacle, drawing a crowd of neighbors. Eventually, everyone learned she was a mistress.
Neighbors pointed and whispered:
“I always thought it was strange for someone so young to live in such a nice house, driving luxury cars, and carrying designer bags. I assumed she married well, but it turns out she’s a mistress.”
“It’s disgusting, living under the same roof as a mistress.”

“The ex–wife came to claim the house, and she had the nerve to ask what right she had. Hilarious. Oh dear, she’s pregnant! The ex–wife should just let her have the baby, make her give birth to an illegitimate child!”
Jessica had been living in luxury for a long time. Except for being mocked by classmates at school, she was usually envied by others. She had never been so openly ridiculed by neighbors like this.
She couldn’t hold it together and sat on the ground, crying.
“What do you mean mistress! The unloved one is the mistress! I’m loved by her husband, how am I the mistress!”
Such a bold statement from a mistress.
Henry showed up and quickly picked Jessica up. He glared angrily at me: “Why are you bullying people just to take a house! I’m glad I divorced you, you shrew. You’re like a stranger to me now!”
Jessica, protected by Henry, looked smug as she leaned into his arms.
“Husband, buy me a better house in the future. I don’t even want this one!”
“Alright, alright, baby, sorry for your grievances.”
I hadn’t even spoken yet. A neighbor lady couldn’t stand it any longer and threw a bucket of cold water at them in the dead of
“Disgusting couple!”
winter:
Henry, drenched, was furious and wanted to call the police. I said, “Don’t make a fuss. The lady accidentally spilled water, it’s not illegal. Even if the police come, the most you’ll get is $500. I’ll pay you $5,000, sending it via another method.”
I could never forget the look Henry gave me, as if he was deeply humiliated. Back when Henry was just starting his business, it was tough, and he needed money everywhere. Even when he ran out of money, he wouldn’t ask me. I always considered his self–esteem, placing the bank card in his drawer, Once he used it up, I’d deposit my new salary into that card. I gave him money and cared for his dignity.
I supported him step by step from a poor guy to a CEO, and he says: “Let’s divorce, I don’t love you anymore, I’ve fallen for someone else.”
