“Don’t touch me…” I rasp breathlessly when my assailant pushes me to the edge of the elevator; he leans in, and I watch his face stretch into a creepy smile as he intrudes on my personal space.
“Aw, I’m just here to make you feel good, I know you want this!”
Sweat beads on my upper lip as another surge of dizziness hits my brain, blanking me for several seconds, my blood roaring so loud, pounding so hotly that I can hear each throb against my ears.
The man’s hand digs into my hair painfully as he attempts to kiss me, the putrid stench of alcohol making my stomach churn with nausea, steadily rising to my oesophagus.
My body craves to be touched, the intensity of it fugs my brain like a thick haze. A sob tightens in my throat as I manage to turn my head away, my swift action causing his mouth to land on my neck, and he starts to kiss my throat..
Another weak scream rips from my mouth when his wandering fingers probe into my abdomen, spreading goosebumps crawling against my skin.
No…no…
This cannot be happening!
Tears blur my vision as the realization hits me hard, one will come.
This is going to happen, and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I feel sickened, utterly disgusted by my own weakness.
My attacker kisses me again and this time, I bite hard, clenching my teeth tightly against his bottom lip until I can feel my teeth touching each other and the revolting taste of blood seeps into my mouth.
“Bitch!” My attacker roars out in pain, spitting blood and saliva on my face, and then his palm connects hard to my face, snapping my head to the side.
“I planned on being gentle with you! Now, don’t expect me to show any mercy,”
He gives me no time to recuperate when he roughly turns me over onto my back and straddles me to the wall with his hips.
I struggle, kicking and clawing at the man’s face, but the powerful punch he lands on my face makes me see instant black.
I faintly hear the sound of the elevator chiming open; my head is foggy, yet I see a figure standing by the elevator.
The humiliation of being seen like this flares through me, and so does hope. I blink rapidly to

Standing a few distance away is a figure I’ll recognize anyway. A shiver courses through my veins, seeping into my bone marrow until my whole body is trembling.
His sharp grey gaze slices through me with a single glance just as he steps into the elevator. At this moment, I nearly forget about the man holding me captive until he curses while glaring at our
intruder.
“This floor is supposed to be empty.” The man scowls at Romano, his grip suddenly less forceful, but his arms are still enclasping my waist.
“What floor are you going to? I can’t wait to be alone with my girlfriend,” He says again.
A pregnant pause sizzles in the air, and then Romano’s response comes.
“Thirty–five,”
A single word, but my body reacts explosively to the sound of his voice. I feel ashamed that he is seeing me in this disoriented state. From my attacker’s shoulders, I see the corners of Romano’s lips twitch, yet his eyes remain unreadable.
If he knows that I’m currently being trapped against my will, he gives no indication, yet his intense eyes continue to pierce through me like a hawk.
I swallow at the thick lump in my throat; right now, he may be my only hope.
Does he know this too?
My eyes slowly lift to meet Romano’s watchful stare, and then it hits me.
He knows!
He’s fully aware of what this man is doing to me, yet… It seems as though he is waiting for me to say something.
“Say it, Cara Mia, beg me to save you,” A frightened sob catches in my throat when I see that he has stepped closer, dominating the already tight space with his presence. His velvety whisper caresses my skin so intimately, and I shiver feverishly.
From the drug… Or his presence? I cannot tell, yet I’m certain that this is the exact way serpent must have lured Eve.

“Hey, stay away from my girlfriend; she’s drunk, but don’t think you can take advantage!” The man holding me glares at Romano and as though to further stake his claim on me, I feel his rough hands fondling my ass.
Romano’s jaw tickles, his pupils expand, and all the grey in his eyes seems to diminish. His eyes are like two laser beams, cutting through us.
Fear plunges my heart into a chaotic rhythm, tricking my veins into pulsating violently with
awareness.

for the man I swore to kill. The person I hate the most.
My eyes clenches even as my teeth starts to chatter.

“I couldn’t hear you, Bambina ?” Romano Leans even closer, I feel as though I’m being ravished by his gaze.
Saved by the devil from being ravished by a monster?
“Please…” I whisper, hateful tears spilling down my cheeks; I flinch when Romano’s hand lifts and his knuckles touch my cheek, bringing my teardrop to his lips, a deranged glint in his eyes.
“You still beg so prettily, Cara Mia“, He murmurs as I pin him with as much hatred as I can
muster.
“What are you doing… The man holding me suddenly releases me to shove Romano’s. shoulders aggressively, but in the next instant, his words morph into a blood–curdling scream when the barrel of Romano’s gun points at him. His face turns deadly pale as he staggers towards me, as though he thinks I may be able to save him.
Romano’s smirk is cruel as he lowers the gun down to the man’s chest… And then lower. My captor’s eyes bulge with horror.
BANG!
I flinch from the loud sound that echoes in the elevator and the shrill cry of my captive tears. through the air as he grasps the pool of blood that blooms like red flowers in his pants.
“You blew it o–off” He chokes painfully, collapsing to the floor. “My d–dick!” He sobs dreadfully.
Next, I know Romano seizes my hand, his fingers encircling mine in a vice–like grip as he drags. me out of the elevator, and then I’m being pushed into a room. room.
The rush of anxiety mixed with adrenaline stabs my every nerve, the toxic mix exploding the drug in my system.
I cannot speak… Fathoming what is happening is impossible. My mind is blank from thoughts, I’m only aware of the raw need that coarse through my body, demanding to be sated. Fire burns through every sensitive spot, the potent lust refuses to acknowledge the enemy. I’m being consumed by the flames.
“Oh God, I’m going to d–die,” The mewl ripples from my throat and Romano, who has been making a call with his back turn, turns to me and spins around with a sharp, swift movement.
He is now standing too close so that I’m almost flattened between him and the wall. So close that I can nearly feel each rapid rise and fall of his chest, both our breaths frantic,
A spark of surprise ignites in his penetrating orbs when I snap like a chord.
There are no rational thoughts in my brain as I encircle my arms around his neck, tilting to my
