Chapter 31
Yedda walked over and asked, “Are you talking nonsense? Why does my daughter need a kidney transplant?”
David said, “Ms. Zorn, we understand how you must be feeling right now, but your daughter’s condition is very serious. You should be mentally prepared.
“How could this happen? She was fine before, wasn’t she? Yedda asked, her voice trembling with fear and confusion.
As Yedda left, the nurses at the nurses station couldn’t help but whisper among themselves.
One said. “This mom is careless. Her daughter is in such a bad condition, and she still took her daughter to Disneyland last week.”
Another nurse asked, “Really?”
The first nurse said, “Her daughter was showing off in her ward when she came back”
Another nurse said, “Maybe she was fulfilling her daughter’s last wish.”
Yedda, who had returned, heard this and was furious. She pointed at the nurse and threatened, “You’re talking nonsense. If you keep this up. I’ll complain about you! What’s your name? Do you want me to complain about you?”
Tracy, who had walked over without anyone noticing, looked at Yedda and cried. She said, “Mommy, I don’t want to die. I don’t want to leave you.”
Yedda rushed over and took Tracy away. After soothing Tracy to sleep, Yedda walked out of the ward and saw Frank waiting outside. She asked. “Where’s Andrew!”
Frank said, “Mr. Zevon had to leave for something. You can tell me what to do.”
“What’s there to talk about with a driver?” Yedda said irritably. She took out her phone and called Andrew. But the phone couldn’t go through. She was so angry she almost threw her phone away.
That night, a trending topic about a former triple–crown actress desperately seeking a kidney for her daughter made it to the top of the headlines.
In the video, Yedda, with disheveled hair and a haggard expression, held up her daughter’s medical records. She said, “Please, everyone, my daughter is very sick and needs a kidney.
“She’s still a child; her young and beautiful life has just begun. Can anyone please help find a kidney? I thank you all here, thank you for saving her life. With that, Yedda suddenly knelt and bowed to the camera.
Yedda had been out of the spotlight for many years, but her title as a former young triple–crown actress still carried weight. The post spread rapidly. Many people in the industry forwarded and commented, generating a lot of heat.
One viewer commented: 15o pitiful. I didn’t know she had been out of the spotlight all these years for her daughter.]
Another said: (Being a full–time mom is so hard. The child is so young.J
Someone said: (I’m a fan of Yedda. I’ve always liked her shows. Please, everyone help her.]
Rachel scrolled through all the posts. Almost all of them were people forwarding and supporting Yedda. Some even set up support groups and went to the hospital to visit Tracy.
Rachel thought, Yedda, at this moment, you’re upset, and you still have the chance to beg for your daughter’s life and find a kidney. But what about me! I didn’t even get to see Jennie for the last time: Uler fists slowly clenched.
Thanks to Yelda’s popularity and influence, many fans went for kidney matching. Unfortunately, none of them were a match.
Rachel said to Jennie, Jennie, help me contact a hospital and get tested”
Jennie took the lollipop out of her mouth, looking puzzled. She said, “I had a full–body checkup before, and I definitely don’t match. Tracy”
Rachel und. Then make a report that says you do!”
Jennie thought for a moment, then gave Rachel the thumbs–up

Chapter 31
That night, the report Jennie made was sent to Yedda. Yedda, holding the report, knelt outside the Zevon manor.
It was pouring with rain that night, the rain falling heavily from the sky.
Learning that Yedda was kneeling outside, Andrew knew Yedda was desperate and came to him for help. As he walked to the door, he was stopped by Richard.
Richard said, “You jerk, I forbid you to go!”
Andrew said, “Grandpa, she’s desperate. You can’t just stand by and let an innocent child…”
Richard said, “I absolutely won’t allow you to hurt Jennie.
Andrew was stunned. Then, he realized and asked, “Do you know about the report?” He immediately blamed Rachel for the humiliation Vedda faced while kneeling outside the Zevon manor.
Andrew insisted, “Grandpa, one last time, as long as Tracy is fine, I’ll cut ties with Yedda. Then I’ll live a good life with Rachel and be a good dad” With that, he pushed past Richard and rushed out.
Fiona couldn’t bear to watch Andrew make a huge mistake. She gave Frank a pointed look.
Heartbroken, Richard stopped Frank and said. “Forget it, if he wants to ruin himself, let him” He looked up and sighed. He knew the family was falling apart
When the sound of urgent knocking came, Rachel was sitting on the sofa, drinking. She caressed the newly restrung bracelet. The knocking outside the door grew more urgent.
Andrew’s impatient voice came through, saying, “Rachel, open the door. I know you’re home”
Rachel said to Jennie, Jennie, go back to your room.”
“Are you sure you don’t need my help?” Jennie asked, a little worried.
Rachel shook her head and went to open the door.
Andrew supported the haggard Yedda and walked into the house. Andrew’s eyes searched around the room for any sign of a man’s presence but found nothing. His anger subsided a bit.
“Rachel. I know I’ve done a lot of things that made you misunderstand me in the past. It’s all my fault. I’m sorry,” Yedda said, bowing dramatically.
Rachel ignored Yedda. She poured a glass of water and sat on the sofa. Pretending to be confused, she asked, “What’s the occasion? You two are playing along well. So, what’s the real purpose!”
Andrew helped Yedda sit down. Yedda clutched Andrew’s hand tightly, her eyes pleading. She said, ‘Andrew, tell Rachel that there’s nothing between us. We’re innocent. Please ask her not to be angry, okay?”
Andrew turned to Racheland said, “Rachel, did you hear that? Yedda and I are innocent“.
Rachel asked. “So?”
Seeing Rachel’s annoying and smug face, Yedda wished she could tear Rachel apart. But she held it back. She thought, “Tracy still needs that brat’s kidney. Once I got the kidney, Rachel, just you wait!‘.
Yedda spoke up. “So please don’t be mad, and don’t divorce Andrew, I know all this time…”
Rachel raised her hand to interrupt Yedda impatiently. She said, “Just tell me what you want. I don’t have time to watch you shed crocodile tears”
Andrew questioned, “Rachel, what kind of attitude is that? Can’t you see Yedda apologizing to you? How can you be so cold and vicious
Rachel retorted, “Andrew, are you blind or stupid? If I were cold and vicious, I would have slapped you and Yedda long ago when you were acting suspiciously. Then I would have caused a scandal at the company, making the stock prices plummet.
“Then, I would post her, as a former triple–crown actress, knowing about the affair and inciting brainless fans to expose the original wife online. I would ruin both of your reputations. That’s the viciousness you are talking about”

Chapter 31
Rachel’s sharp words left Andrew and Yedda speechless, especially Yedda. She knew Rachel was a pushover and easy to manipulate; that was why she dared to cling to Andrew so shamelessly. But she didn’t expect Rachel to be so tough now.
Andrew said, “Alright, stop pretending. Yedda has apologized to you. Just take the opportunity to back down.”
Yedda chimed in. “Yes, Rachel, I already know I was wrong. I’ll be more careful in the future and won’t give you the wrong idea.” Her sweet talk was all for naught, it was unclear how much Rachel took in.
Seeing Rachel stay unmoved, Yedda wiped her tears and continued. “Rachel, I’m here today to beg you. Let Jennie save Tracy.”
Rachel said, “Yedda, do you still have the nerve to ask me?”
y is innocent. Please save her
With a thud, Yedda knelt in front of Rachel. She said, “Rachel, please, Tracy is
