My mother–in–law
law was freaking out and called Edwin but he was too busy gambling with David to
bother.
Mandy did not find out until she got back from her dat. She raced to the hospital.
My mother–in–law was still acting the same, sitting on the floor and making a scene with her tears.
“I just went out to buy some groceries. I didn’t know this would happen. You were all out, and I had to watch the kids and cook… It wasn’t on purpose.”
Mandy, who had never taken care of her own kids, got really mad at her mom.
“Can’t you understand anything? Are you out of your mind? I should’ve sent you to get your head checked! I’ve told you a million times not to skimp on the heating. How could you not listen? You owe me my children’s lives! What am I going to tell David…”
The thing she was scared of the most was not being able to explain herself.
The Lewis family did not pay much attention to many things, but they sure loved their two grandkids a
Jot.
