Luke’s panic eased slightly. “A fake wedding?”
“Come on, Luke. The ceremony is about to start. Let’s go,” Mandy coaxed.
The officiant stood on stage, hosting the wedding as Luke forced a smile and exchanged rings with Mandy. They kissed, sealing their vows.
Just as everything seemed perfect, the banquet hall doors burst open with a resounding crash.
A group of people in black suits marched inside in sync.
Luke instinctively thought that I had come to disrupt the wedding. He smiled mockingly,

ready to confront her, but he froze in place.
It was not me. Instead, It was a group of uniformed police officers.
Panic set in as Lake stammered, “Officers, we’re just ordinary citizens. We haven’t done anything wrong!”
The lead officer ignored him and unfolded a document.
“Mandy Lynch, you are under investigation for illegally seizing someone else’s property. The evidence is conclusive. Please come with us.”
Luke was utterly flustered. “Officers, this is all a misunderstanding! The property in question was owned by Anna Lane, which I legally gave to Mandy,”
The officer frowned. “The ‘legal‘ channels you mentioned do not hold up under scrutiny, and Ms. Lane does not acknowledge your claim.”
Luke protested vehemently. “This is just Anna’s way of sabotaging my wedding with Mandy!” The officer glared at Luke coldly and snapped, “Sir, do not obstruct law enforcement. Take her away!”
Mandy was escorted out, and the wedding descended into chaos.
Relatives of the Lynch family began whispering loudly, criticizing Mandy for taking someone else’s property, calling her shameless.
Luke’s parents were furious as they berated him relentlessly.
“You fool! Look at the mess you’ve caused!”
“You gave up a golden opportunity and married a nobody. Now look, everything’s gone!”
Luke finally collected himself and replied, “Mom, this is all Anna’s scheme. I’ll go find her and make her save Mandy!”
He was about to storm off when a man blocked his path.
“Mr. Graham, this is a wedding gift from Ms. Lane.”
