Jennifer was half–dressed and vulnerable, and she looked extremely pitiful. She didn’t believe Samuel would
remain unfazed by her state. After all, it was how she had lured him in the first place–throwing herself into his
arms.
Samuel liked to put on the image of a respectable man, always wearing his wedding ring, but when it came to getting into bed with her, he hadn’t exactly held back.
But this time, things were different.
Samuel looked at Jennifer, her face flushed with feigned shyness as she tried to seduce him again, and he felt nothing but disgust.
With a sharp push, he sent her stumbling away. His anger was now undeniable as he coldly demanded, “Why did you send those disgusting messages to Isabella?”
Jennifer’s heart skipped a beat. She hadn’t expected to be caught so quickly. Trying to feign ignorance, she asked, ” What messages? I don’t understand what you’re talking about.”
Jennifer hadn’t expected to get away with it forever. But with someone as mild–mannered as Isabella, shouldn’t she have just stepped aside without a word?
Samuel sneered. “You’re still lying at this point? I told you before, as long as you knew your place, I’d give you everything you wanted. And yet, you still went ahead and harassed her?!”
The more he spoke, the angrier he got, until his usually handsome face twisted into a snarl.
It was the first time Jennifer had ever seen him look so terrifying. The color drained from her face, and her lips trembled as she stammered, “W–wait, listen… It’s a misunderstanding, I can explain.”
If she could just get through this, everything else would be easy.
But Samuel wasn’t going to give her the chance to explain. He pulled out Isabella’s phone and raised it in front of her. Then, he turned the screen on, forcing her to look at the messages.
“Are you saying these pictures were taken by your phone and sent to her on its own?”
As he spoke, he slowly scrolled through the pages, determined to silence Jennifer and make her stop saying anything that would only fuel his rage.
