It wasn’t until they brought her into the operating room that Jennifer finally let out a scream. It was loud and raw, and she sounded like an animal being slaughtered.
“How dare you touch my child! I’m carrying Samuel’s firstborn son! He’s going to inherit the Grant family’s fortune!”
“Enough yelling,” one of the men in black suits replied coldly. “Mr. Grant ordered us to terminate the pregnancy. That’s what we’re doing.”
Samuel was even more ruthless than she had imagined.

“Can I help you?”
With hope rising in his chest, Samuel asked urgently, “Is there another woman staying here? I’m her husband, and I need to speak with her.”
The elderly woman sized him up coldly before responding, “I’m the landlady here. There was a tenant, but she checked out three days ago and left.”
Before he could say another word, she started to close the door.
