Ryan suddenly exploded in anger. “You’re not even married yet! Do you have no shame?”
“Not exactly the most appropriate thing for you to say, little brother.” Before I could respond, a lazy voice responded. “Everyone knows about your late–night rendezvous with Saya in the palace. So, what’s wrong with what we’re doing?”
Ryan hadn’t expected Alaric to speak like that, and his face shifted from shock to white- hot fury.
Alaric added, “I’m not like some people–getting engaged to one person today, then tangled up with someone else tomorrow. When I commit, I commit for life.”
Ryan’s face turned ashen.
“Also, you shouldn’t be addressing Selina in such an intimate manner.”
Ryan’s lips trembled, and for a moment, he couldn’t find any words to say.
How boring.
I turned and moved to close the door.
“Selina.” Ryan shoved against the door. “Selina, Saya lied to me! She’s the one who’s been meddling, and that’s why things are like this now! Listen to me, Selina. I had a dream a few days ago… In the dream, I was the one marrying you…”

“My darling fiancee,” Alaric said, changing the way he addressed me. “I have an important meeting to prepare for. Could you accompany me?”
Then, he added mockingly, “Ryan, why don’t you come in and discuss things with your big brother?”
Ryan went silent.
