Luther casually sat down and looked at the food Wesley brought. “What’s wrong with you? The poor girl looks like she’s not getting enough nutrients–she needs more protein. Cake and pastries aren’t exactly what she needs.”
“Sorry.” Wesley said. “I thought women would like these. I’ll go get something else.”
“No need,” Lisa quickly replied. “This is fine”
She cautiously sat down on the sofa and picked up a piece of fruit cake, nibbling at it carefully.
Ironically, these pastries, served to guests at the Olsens, were something Lisa had never tasted before.
She didn’t have the privilege to attend the banquets, and after the events, the leftover food would be divided by the servants. leaving nothing for Lisa.
The three men, either sitting or standing, watched as Lisa ate like a hamster. The atmosphere in the room became oddly awkward
Luther was the first to break the silence. “How’s the meeting going?”
“Pretty good,” Wesley answered. “It was obvious–Bernard won’t refuse to cooperate with us.”
Luther scratched his chin. “I thought Mario wouldn’t agree
“Not while his father is still around. He can’t run the Olsens just yet, the man said, his tone tinged with mockery. He glanced at Lisa. “What’s wrong?”
no one’s going
Lisa’s face turned red as she pounded her chest, and Luther quickly poured her a glass of water. Take it easy, no to take it from you.”
After drinking the water, Lisa was finally able to speak. She apologized, “The fruit cake is too dry.”
Luther said caringly, “Poor thing. Do they even get fed properly?
Lisa was used to eating whatever was in the kitchen, and if there was nothing, it wasn’t unusual for her to go to bed hungry. She bit her lip, about to speak, when the man’s phone suddenly rang. He got up and stepped outside to answer it.
“Um…..” Lisa asked softly, turning to Luther. “Can you finally tell me his name?“
Luther said, ‘I didn’t tell you before for your own good. Who would’ve thought you two would be so destined, to meet again so soon? If you’re trying to pay him back, don’t bother. He’s got nothing but money,”
Lisa said earnestly, “Please tell me his name.”
“Flint Hale.” The man leaned against the doorframe, his expression cold and composed. His eyes reflected Lisa’s image, his voice was cold, like a winter wind.
Lisa stared at him, dazed.
Luther chuckled. “Yep, his name’s Flint Hale. Ever heard of him?”
“No.” Lisa shook her head.
Flint’s name had never once appeared in her past life.
“Something came up I’m leaving.” Flint said..
“Okay.” Wesley replied.
Luther pulled a few items from his bag and placed them on the table. “I noticed your lip’s a bit cracked. Make sure you apply some medicine to it later, okay?”
Lisa nodded. “Okay”

Lisa quickly stuffed a large piece of cake into her mouth. Flint and the others had left, and it wouldn’t be long before someone came to clean up. If she didn’t eat quickly, she’d miss her chance.
As if on cue, just after she swallowed, there was a knock at the door.
Lisa hesitated for a moment, then cracked the door open slightly. Standing outside was Oscar, who didn’t dare look tone was full of flattery. “The steak and chicken soup you requested are ready. Would you like me to bring them in?”
Lisa was certain that even in front of Bernard. Oscar had never been so fawning.
- up.
If he knew that the person standing inside the door wasn’t the esteemed guest he thought it was, but Lisa, who he looked down upon, what kind of expression would he have?
Lisa deliberately lowered her voice and said, “Just leave it at the door.”
“Sure.” Oscar said, “If you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to let me know.”
Lisa stayed silent, and Oscar, being tactful, set the tray down and left.

Once she confirmed he was gone, Lisa hurriedly grabbed the tray. In addition to the steaming chicken soup and steak, there were also fruits and desserts.
It was quite considerate.
She shut the door and took a large bite of the meat.
After finishing the last sip of soup, Lisa let out a contented burp.
After offending Greta and Roxanne so badly last time, she could barely get a half–decent meal when she sneaked into the kitchen. They locked the food up like it was a treasure. She hadn’t eaten enough for a long time.
Was this food from Fline? Because Luther had said she needed protein, not sugar?
No, that guy is always so cold and doesn’t seem to care about anything. Why would he order food for me before leaving? That’s something Dr. Carter would do.
