The banquet wasIÚT OVET yet, the hall was still full of chatter and drinks, but Lisa didn’t plan on returning. She was gonna sneak back to her room when someone called out, “Lisaf”
Lisa stopped in her tracks and turned around, only to see Neil walking toward her, bathed in moonlight.
Lisa, where did you go just now? Neil asked. ‘I couldn’t find you anywhere, and the servants said they didn’t see you either.”
“I was just walking around,” Lisa tilted her head, looking at him, “Is there something you need?”

Lisa cut him off “We don’t have anything else to say.”
“Lisa” Neil grabbed her arm. “If you don’t want to stay with the Olsens, I can…”
“Can what?”
ou stuck in Neil’s throat, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t bring himself to say them. The words “I can marry you” stude Marrying Tiffany was for business, but marrying Lisa? With Lisa’s position in the Olsens, marrying her wouldn’t benefit him

No wonder he came all the way here to treat her wounds–he was worried that if her face got ruined, she wouldn’t be worth much

Lisa rubbed her slightly bulging belly–she really couldn’t eat anymore.
And compared to the steak and chicken soup from earlier, this spaghetti bolognese was too shabby.
But with Mario watching her, Lisa had no choice but to take it. She forced herself to eat a couple of bites, only to nearly gag from being so full.
“Are you blaming me?” Mario said coldly. “There were so many people there. You want me to embarrass Mom for you?”
Lisa had never expected anyone to stand up for her in that situation. She had already tasted this family’s coldness in her past. life, and if she still held onto hope in this one, how was that any different from being a fool?
“I’m not thinking that way,” Lisa said.
“Since you’re not, who are you pretending for?” Mario said coldly. “Is the food I gave you really making you sick?”
Lisa remained silent.
She couldn’t tell him it was because she had eaten too much earlier and just couldn’t eat this spaghetti bolognese now, could
