Chapter 17 Begging

Even after Jon stumbled back 17 steps and finally came to a stop, his chest was soaked in blood, and his ribs shattered.
Jon was on the verge of death, his condition so pitiful it was beyond words.
Meanwhile, Ryan stood completely still.
Not a hair out of place. Not a scratch on him.
How… how was this possible?!
It was more surreal than any illusion, ten thousand times more impossible to accept.
It was completely unacceptable.
Even Axel, the head of the Solomons, trembled as he raised his hand to rub his eyes, unable to believe what he was seeing.
“So, this is the true martial art way you spoke of? Doesn’t seem that impressive,” Ryan said calmly, his gaze fixed on Jon from a distance, breaking the heavy silence.
“Se–Senior, it’s my ignorance! Senior, it’s… my ignorance! Please, spare me!” Jon suddenly begged in desperation.
Jon was so terrified, that he almost wanted to commit suicide.
Only by experiencing the power of Ryan’s punch firsthand could he truly grasp the depth of his fear.
The force of that punch from Ryan was something he could hardly put into words.
It was absolutely impossible for someone at the Energy Cultivation Realm to unleash such power.
What’s even more terrifying was that he could feel that Ryan’s punch just now was just a casual punch and he didn’t use much power at all.
It was too terrifying!
He even started to question if Ryan, only 22 years old, was actually at the legendary Grandmaster
Realm!
“You old fool, your face isn’t worth much, is it?” Ryan’s voice broke the silence as he turned to look at Axel below.
Axel immediately fell silent, not daring to speak.

Crack!
The floor instantly shattered into pieces, and Ryan’s foot struck one of the fragments with precision.
Whoosh!
The wooden shard turned into a flash of light, shooting through the air like a bullet.
It flew straight into Axel’s left knee, piercing through with terrifying force.
It actually penetrated deeply into Axel’s left knee.
Pierced through the knee.
Blood began to spread rapidly from the wound.
Axel cried out in pain, collapsing to his knees.

I told you, your face isn’t worth much. What do you think? Can’t understand human language?” Ryan said again.
“Y–yes, yes, my face isn’t worth anything, Mr. Howell. Please, calm down… it was my mistake, I spoke out of turn, Axel stuttered, his voice trembling with a mix of searing pain and fear.
The once proud head of the Solomons, one of the legendary leaders of the Fregend family and two of the oldest noble families, now stood trembling, reduced to nothing more than a nervous, fearful shell
“Dad, wh–what do we do? On stage, Joel was utterly panicked, his voice breaking with fear and almost tears.
He had hoped that Axel stepping forward would bring a dramatic turn of events, but instead, it only deepened the crushing despair.
Slap!
The answer to Joel came in the form of a sharp slap.
In a fit of pure terror and rage, Logan slapped Joel across the face, his voice hoarse as he shouted, “You ungrateful little bastard!”
Three years ago, if only his useless son had taken care of things properly, they wouldn’t be in this situation. How could he have ended up with such a worthless son?!
Logan’s eyes burned with rage, bloodshot and filled with hatred, as he glared at his son, wishing he could kill him on the spot.

In contrast, Logan suddenly fell to his knees, urgently banging his head against the floor in frantic bows toward Ryan.
Bang, bang, bang….
The thud of his desperate kowtows filled the room.
“Mr. Howell, it’s all this worthless fool’s fault, all of it! Mr. Howell, please, do as you wish with him… but spare the rest of the Kanes!” Logan sobbed, his voice trembling with fear and desperation as he pleaded.
At the brink of life and death, even a son could be sacrificed.
After all, a son could die, but another could be born, right? Logan was only in his fifties.
But if the Kanes were wiped out, if he died and everyone in the family perished, it would all be
over.
When pushed to a certain point, the best option is to let your son die rather than me.
“Dad… “Joel felt a chill run through him, his eyes wide as he watched his father begging on the floor. He couldn’t even speak. After over 20 years by his father’s side, he suddenly realized… he never truly knew him at all.
So ruthless!
How cruel!
“Mr. Howell, yes, yes, it wasn’t our fault! Three years ago, it was that little bastard’s decision, we had nothing to do with it!” As Logan continued his Trantic apology, blaming Joel, the other direct members of the Kanes, including Logan’s older brother Jacob Kane, followed suit. They all cried out in desperation, begging for mercy.
In the hall, many people’s eyes flickered, their expressions growing more complex and anxious. It’s only in moments of life and death that human nature reveals itself so clearly.
“Is that so?” Ryan smirked, the coldness at the corner of his mouth deepening rather than fading.
“Yes, yes, that’s right…” Jacob, Logan’s older brother, seemed to see a glimmer of hope, Kneeling on the ground, he was the first to crawl toward Ryan, moving toward him as though he wanted to clutch Ryan’s legs and beg for mercy.
