The guards protecting Grace and the two members of the Skeleton Mercenaries were all martial artists, at least at the late–Energy Cultivation Realm or peak level. Their strength and speed were nothing short of terrifying.
The battle among the 12 fighters unfolded with an intensity that outshone even the most exaggerated action scenes from martial arts movies.
Each clash of fists, feet, blades, and swords was chilling to behold. Furniture like banquet tables and chairs disintegrated into splinters upon even the slightest contact, showcasing the astonishing force of their attacks.
“How did Jeremy manage to assemble such a team overseas?” Axel and Thomas were both stunned as they watched the scene unfold. If Jeremy’s subordinates were this formidable, it was hard to imagine the extent of his strength.
“D“mn it!” Grace’s face turned grim. Her ten guards, despite outnumbering their two opponents, were barely holding their ground.
It was a struggle even with the advantage of numbers. Without that, her guards would likely have been wiped out already.
The disparity in strength was staggering.
Still, their numerical advantage gave them a few precious minutes. And within those minutes, if Grace could subdue Jeremy, they could claim victory.
With this in mind, Grace’s aura sharpened, like an unsheathed blade locking onto Jeremy as its target.
“You’re from the Nolans? You’re no match for me,” Jeremy said quietly, glancing briefly at Ryan before fixing his gaze on Grace.
“We’ll see about that, Grace retorted sharply. She sprang forward, a short sword appearing in her hand.
The sword had been concealed in her sleeve. It was about 25 centimeters long and half an inch. wide but razor–sharp, its silver–white blade glimmering with a faint purple sheen. The sword’s tip emitted a chillingly lethal aura.
With her right hand gripping the sword, Grace channeled her inner energy. Power surged within her, and the energy formed into a sword technique. Her wrist moved with incredible speed, and the short sword traced arcs of deadly precision, unleashing a flurry of attacks at Jeremy.
The speed of her sword was so fast it became invisible to the naked eye, leaving only afterimages. in its wake. The sharp, rapid whistling of the blade sounded like the harbinger of death.
Sword lights surrounded leremy from all directions leaving no annarent onenings for him to

Although they were technically at the same cultivation level, the gap in their combat ability was tenfold.
“Grace, you may have some talent, but you’re far too inexperienced in real combat. I could kill you in three moves at most. Jeremy said with a faint smile, as though his earlier strike had required no effort.
Despite the smile, the scar across his face–a hideous line resembling a centipede–made him look even more menacing.
In the grand hall, many of the prominent figures of Fregend were left utterly shocked by what they had just witnessed.
