After saying that, he exited the hall.
Meanwhile, Cindy’s face flushed a deep shade of red.
She had lost.

In a private dining room at Moonlit Restaurant in Fregend, Ryan and Grace were seated across from one another.
The elegant glass table between them was adorned with a selection of vibrant, fragrant dishes and a bottle of 2002 Romance–Conti red wine.
Moonlit Restaurant is the most luxurious dining establishment in all of Fregend, boasting at timeless and sophisticated aesthetic that exudes charm. Although the restaurant isn’t particularly spacious, its prices are far from modest.
Naturally, neither Ryan nor Grace gave a second thought to the cost.
“Mr. Howell, a toast to you,” Grace said, pouring wine into their glasses before lifting hers.
A faint blush tinted Grace’s cheeks, partially due to the effects of the wine. However, getting drunk wasn’t a concern for her–being only at the early stage of the Grandmaster Realm meant she could handle ten bottles of wine without faltering.
“Thank you for today,” Ryan said with a smile, downing his wine in one go.
“Mr. Howell, you must be joking. I didn’t do anything to help you,” Grace replied, shaking her head gently. Her bright, agate–like eyes fixed on Ryan as she unconsciously recalled his commanding presence earlier. The image of him crippling Jeremy with a single move in the wedding hall left an impression she couldn’t quite erase.
Taking a deep breath to steady herself, Grace shifted her expression and asked, “Mr. Howell, would you consider joining the Nolans as the honored master for our Martial Arts Academy?”
One of the key reasons Grace asked Ryan to join her for a private conversation and meal was this.
“Martial Arts Academy? Honored Master?” Ryan asked, intrigued.
Grace smiled and explained, “Mr. Howell might not be familiar with the terms ‘Martial Arts Academy‘ and ‘Honored Master,‘ which is understandable. However, you must know that the powerful families in the secular world of Celestia are often supported by sects and noble families. from Shadowcrest Mountain, correct? “Think of the Martial Arts Academy as a sort of training ground,” Grace continued. “For example, our Nolans‘ Martial Arts Academy selects the most promising young martial artists from within. our family.
“They train hard, hone their skills, and showcase their abes. Eventually, the most exceptional
of them may be sent to the Hansens of Shadowcrest Mountain, where they can rise to the top in a single leap.”
“Those who aren’t chosen by the Hansens or don’t meet their standards won’t be left without purpose. Instead, they’ll become the foundation of the martial power that safeguards the Nolans,” Grace explained further.
Ryan nodded, his expression thoughtful. “I understand.” He couldn’t help but feel a sense of admiration. These elite families were truly impressive, their long–lasting success making perfect.
sense now.
The idea of the Martial Arts Academy was truly brilliant. It not only nurtures the family’s own martial strength but also ensures that some of their finest are sent to their allies at Shadowcrest. Mountain.
If one of these exceptional young individuals sent to Shadowcrest Mountain proves to be extraordinary, they might one day hold influence there and, in turn, elevate their original family in the secular world.
“Impressive,” Ryan murmured, clearly impressed.
“The Martial Arts Academy forms the backbone of our families, and it’s of great importance. Sadly, since the Nolans are only a secular family, we lack the ability to attract top–tier masters from Shadowcrest Mountain to lead it. As a result, our Nolans‘ Martial Arts Academy has never had a permanent, qualified honored master,” Grace said, her eyes now fixed on Ryan, a hopeful gleam in them.
“I don’t think I have that much time,” Ryan replied, unwilling to be confined to the Nolans Martial Arts Academy for long.
“Mr. Howell, you’re mistaken,” Grace quickly clarified, “Someone of your stature, no matter how arrogant I am, wouldn’t expect you to stay at the Nolans Martial Arts Academy indefinitely. Just one month–if that’s too much, even half a month would be sufficient.” She felt a surge of hope. as Ryan hadn’t given a clear refusal, which meant there was still a chance.
Don’t underestimate that one month or half a month. According to the martial arts strength shown by Ryan, with just a few days of guidance, the Nolans‘ Martial Arts Academy will be able to make great progress.
“I’m fine with one month, but Ryan began.

“Any compensation is acceptable, as long as the Nolans can manage it. Grace quickly responded. her excitement evident as she nodded enthusiastically before Ryan could explain what was needed.
“My request for compensation might be a bit unusual,” Ryan said with a calm smile, lifting his glass and finishing it in one go.
“Please, go ahead, Mr. Howell, Grace urged eagerly.
“Before I mention my request, may I ask, Ms. Nolan, what led to your rapid progression from the Energy Cultivation Realm to the Grandmaster Realm in just a year?” Ryan’s relaxed posture. vanished as he fixed his gaze intently on Grace’s captivating eyes.
Grace was momentarily taken aback, her stunning features reflecting surprise. She hadn’t anticipated such a question from Ryan, and for a brief moment, she was at a loss for words.
Ryan, however, remained composed, his smile soft and serene, showing no sign of impatience.
“Mr. Howell, you truly are…” Grace smiled wryly after a long pause. She had thought of every possible compensation Ryan might ask for, but she never expected him to…
