Chapter 26 Real Idi*t

Jocelyn hesitated for a moment but couldn’t turn down their kindness. She pretended to be reluctant as she accepted the money, “Marie. Lisa, thank you so much! You two are the best sisters anyone could ask for!”
Seeing Jocelyn’s reaction, Marie and Lisa exchanged looks filled with sarcasm.
This fool would always be a fool.
In Marie and Lisa’s eyes, Jocelyn was nothing more than a fool.
A real idi“L
No matter what they asked her to do, Jocelyn never dared to oppose them.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been played by them for so many years, serving as their backdrop for all that time.
Lisa couldn’t even be bothered to pretend anymore. Her face was full of mockery as she spoke, Jocelyn, remember to buy more makeup tomorrow! Marie and I have other things to do, so we’ll head out now.”
“Okay.” Jocelyn nodded slightly.
As she watched Lisa and Marie walk away, the corners of her lips lifted in a faint, knowing smile.
She’d never believed in things like miracles before, but now… she was starting to.
Marie and Lisa went straight to the Moore residence.
The two couldn’t wait to report Jocelyn’s pitiful situation to Ruby.
“Ruby, guess who we just saw outside?” Marie said, barely containing her excitement
“Who?” Ruby asked, lifting her eyes.
“It’s Jocelyn!” Marie replied, her voice dripping with disdain. “Do you know what that shameless fake is doing now? She’s cleaning at a street food stall! She’s completely pathetic now!”
At this, Ruby’s disinterest turned into curiosity, and a mocking smile curved on her lips. “Is that so?”
“Yes, yes!” Marie continued. “She was wearing the stall’s uniform, and we even said hello to her! She’s as dumb as ever!”
Lisa added. “She’s always been a fool. A cheap one at that! She can’t compare to Ruby. She’s nothing
“Jocelyn and I have some history, you know. Maybe we should go visit her sometime?” Ruby suggested, her eyes gleaming with calculation.
Now that Jocelyn had fallen so low, if Ruby extended a helping hand, Jocelyn would definitely be grateful and be at her mercy, just like in their past life.
“How about tomorrow night?” Lisa asked
Ruby nodded. “Sounds good.”
The next morning. Jocelyn was up early for her jog. Dressed simply in a white shirt, her long hair flowing behind her, her porcelain face was expressionless, yet there was an air of elegance mixed with a hint of coldness.
Passersby couldn’t help but steal glances, their eyes lighting up in admiration.
After her run, Jocelyn stopped by the market before heading home to cook.
She was quite skilled in the kitchen, and Richard couldn’t stop praising her. “Jocelyn, you’re amazing! This tastes way better than the food at the breakfast place!
Chapter 26 Real Idit
Jocelyn recalled her visit to the pharmacy a while back. “What did he say?”
Richard replied. “He asked if you had time today. He wants you to stop by his store at noon.”
“Okay, I’ll go.” Jocelyn nodded.
Finished
After finishing breakfast, Jocelyn prepared to head out. She bought a phone and a SIM card before making her way to Maunsell Pharmacy.
“Hello, are you looking for me?” Jocelyn asked when she arrived.
“You’re finally here. the pharmacy owner, Bryce Summer, said with a smile, quickly walking toward her.
“Is there something you need?” Jocelyn asked.
Bryce replied, “I wanted to ask if you could help with something”
“Of course, just tell me.”
Bryce introduced himself. “Let me explain. I have a nephew–in–law who fell seriously ill a year ago. His symptoms were so strange that no one could figure out the cause. He’s seen countless doctors, but his condition keeps getting worse. It looks like he might not last much longer.
“So his family is thinking of trying holistic medicine. I saw the prescription you wrote last time, and it seemed almost effective, so I wanted to ask if you could take a look at him.”
“Let’s not waste any time. Lead the way,” Jocelyn said,
“All right” Bryce nodded.
After exchanging a brief word with the staff, he led Jocelyn to his niece’s house.
Bryce’s niece lived in an upscale neighborhood, in a luxurious villa with several servants.
“Bryce, you’re here, the lady of the house said as she greeted them. She was in her late 20s, with striking beauty, but dark circles under her eyes were clearly visible..
Bryce responded, “Melanie, this is the holistic medicine practitioner I told you about. Jocelyn, this is my niece, Melanie Summer
