Chapter 27 Savior
Melanie finally noticed Jocelyn standing next to Bryce, and a look of surprise flashed across her face.
The girl tour quite beautiful, but she seemed a bit young
Could the cure him?
Jocelyn took the initiative to greet Melanie. “Hello, my name is Jocelyn Leif. You can just call me Jocelyn”
“Hello, Jocelyn. Please, have a seat, Melanie said, directing a servant to pour tea
Jocelyn took a sip, then said, “Let’s go see the patient.”
Melanie hesitated for a moment. “All right.”
Though Jocelyn was young, she was brought here by Bryce, so Melanie couldn’t let him down.
Melanie led Jocelyn to the bedroom,
The room was large, filled with the smell of disinfectant, not exactly pleasant.
The man was incredibly thin, lying on the bed, with barely any sign of life.
Jocelyn sat by the bed, placed her hand on his wrist, and closed her eyes for a
moment

After a while, she released her hold and looked up at Melanie. “Mrs. Melanie, before your husband got sick, did he travel to a tropical area?”
Melanie was taken aback for a moment, then nodded. “Yes, we went to Bolivar.”
Jocelyn nodded. That explains it. Your husband has contracted a very rare disease, known as Arnos Discase. It’s not easy catch, usually transmitted through eating raw meat, and it only exists in tropical regions.”
“Arnos? Melanie asked, confused.
Jocelyn explained, “In simple terms, it’s a parasitic disease. There are fewer than three known cases worldwide!”
“But if it’s a parasite, why couldn’t the doctors find it?” Melanie asked next.
Jocelyn continued, “Because Arnos parasites are thin and transparent, and they’re very tricky. Once they infest the body, they blend into the blood and flesh. With current medical technology, it’s almost impossible to detect them.”
This disease was fairly common in the world Jocelyn came from, similar to a regular cold.
But she couldn’t understand how it could exist in this world as well.
“If you don’t believe me, I can show you. Jocelyn lifted the blanket and pressed a few acupoints on the man’s chest.
Suddenly, the man who had been lying there shot upright, coughing up a mouthful of blood before collapsing unconscious again.
Melanie jumped in shock. “Arthur Arthur!”
Jocelyn calmly said, “Mrs. Melanie, look at the floor
Melanie looked down, her face instantly turning pale. “What is that?”
In the blood on the floor, several long, transparent worms were wriggling, looking terrifying
Those are the Arnos parasites.”

Do you have paper and a pen?” Jocelyn asked.
“Yes!” Melanie quickly had someone bring them over..

Jocelyn wrote a prescription and handed it to Melanie. “Follow this prescription, and I’ll check on him again in a week.”
“Thank you! Thank you so much!” Melanie eagerly took the prescription, almost on the verge of kneeling. “Ms. Leif, if you save Arthur, you’ll be our family’s savior!”
Jocelyn quickly helped Melanie up. “Mrs. Melanie, wait until your husband is fully recovered before thanking me.”
After Jocelyn left, Melanie immediately instructed the servants to buy the medicine listed in the prescription.
She then called her mother–in–law, Erica Coldwell, to share the good news.
When Erica heard, she rushed over. “Melanie, is Arthur going to be okay? Where’s the doctor? Let me meet him!”
Erica was accompanied by her niece, Silvia Coldwell
Silvia had lost her parents at a young age and had been raised by Erica. Since Erica and Seamus Jensen didn’t have a daughter of their own, they had always treated Silvia as their own.
Melanie replied, “Ms. Leif has already left, but she’ll come back in a week.”
Erica asked, “Do you think this Ms. Leif can cure Arthur? After so many doctors, do you think a woman can do this?” Erica was filled with doubt.
Melanie gestured for a servant to bring a glass jar.
“Take a look at this.
Inside the jar was a blood–red substance, with transparent, thread–like creatures wriggling around.
Silvia froze, her eyes quickly flashing with a glimmer of something that vanished as quickly as it appeared. She immediately grabbed Melanie’s hand, trembling. “Melaniel What is that? It’s so scary!”
