Reversed Destinies of the Fake Heiress Ch 2

Chapter 2 Meant for a Life of Royalty
Ruby had always felt she was destined for greatness. The dark, gloomy basements, along with the common people who surrounded her, disgusted her.
She refused to accept that she was born to a mother who had been nothing more than a mistress.
It wasn’t a fantasy she dreamed up—Ruby knew in her heart that she was a lost princess, misplaced in a world far beneath her.
She was meant for a life of royalty.
When she learned the truth, her joy was overwhelming.
But as always, fate had a cruel way of showing its face. The painful memories of her past life—one filled with loss and betrayal—still haunted her.
In that past life, she had been given a golden opportunity, only to squander it.
Yes.
Ruby had been reborn.
In her previous life, she wasn’t recognized by her real parents until she was in her twenties.
Upon returning to the Moores family, they treated her like a precious jewel, providing her with everything she needed to transform from an unnoticed girl into a glamorous heiress.
But her eyes had been blind, and she had made the tragic mistake of marrying the wrong man—a charming predator who revealed his true monstrous nature only after their marriage.
She became nothing more than an innocent victim, discarded like garbage, leaving wreckage in her wake.

But this time, things would be different.
In this new life, Ruby had something most people could only dream of—a second chance, an opportunity that would make her unstoppable.
She carried with her memories of past mistakes, vowing this time to shine the brightest.
She would make her parents proud!
She would elevate the Moores family to the pinnacle of power in Cloudhaven.
And tonight, at the grand banquet, there was a powerful tycoon in attendance—someone whose very presence could shake the city. Unfortunately, there were far too many people at the event for Ruby to locate this legendary figure, and she hadn’t crossed paths with him in her past life.
But Ruby had a weapon no one could resist: beauty. Her face, flawless and mesmerizing, had the power to stop men in their tracks and captivate the most influential figures.
This time, she would make sure that tycoon couldn’t take his eyes off her.
I won’t let Jocelyn escape my plans, not this time.
Jocelyn thinks she can remain with the Moores? I will ensure that she’ll be nothing more than a stepping stone, overshadowed by my brilliance.
I will force Jocelyn to marry the scumbag I married in my previous life, making her into my personal doormat, someone to be crushed beneath my heel.
A cold, satisfied smile curled Ruby’s lips as she thought about her plan, her eyes flickering with fierce determination.
Across the hall, two men sat quietly in a shadowed corner.
One man, sitting slightly higher than the other, wore a black hat that cast a shadow over his face. His pale fingers gripped a cigarette, the smoke swirling in the air, hiding his features even further. In his other hand, he held a watch, their dark surfaces contrasting with his fair skin.
He was dressed in a simple suit, the top buttons fastened neatly, exuding a scholarly, almost regal air, yet his aura radiated a chilling coldness.
Though his face couldn’t be seen clearly, there was an undeniable arrogance and indifference about him, making him impossible to ignore.
The other man, seated beside him, had a handsome, carefree face. His gaze flickered toward Jocelyn, a look of both amusement and disdain crossing his features. “I can’t believe what I’m seeing. A person like Jocelyn actually exists. Shameless. Caleb, your fiancée’s behavior is absolutely despicable.”
From the outside, Jocelyn’s actions were undeniably shameless.
As an imposter, how could she dare to intrude upon the official ceremony of the true heiress?
The man paused, then realization struck him. “Wait, hold on! The woman you’re engaged to is the real heiress of the Moores. This imposter has no connection to you whatsoever!”
Such lowly individuals don’t deserve to be in Caleb’s presence.
The man speaking was Dominic Lawsson, a well-known aristocrat from Pinecrest city.
Normally, given the Moores family’s position in Cloudhaven, they wouldn’t have been able to extend an invitation to someone like Dominic.
But then again, he was here with a rich heir, who was Jocelyn’s current fiancé.
The man opposite him had his lips pursed and his legs crossed, exuding an air of elegance and cold detachment.
Dominic sighed. “The real heiress of the Moores is truly unfortunate. Her identity has been stolen for all these years, and now she’s forced to tolerate the presence of this fake sister.”
Anyone in her position would feel awful.
Dominic glanced at the man who sat across from him, then added, “But honestly, Caleb, I didn’t expect your fiancée to be so strikingly beautiful. I thought a place like Cloudhaven wouldn’t have any true beauties.”
Ruby, being a true Moore by blood, certainly lived up to that standard. She was the school’s most admired beauty.
Compared to the garish Jocelyn, Ruby’s natural beauty was striking.
The man across from Dominic slowly raised his eyes. His gaze was deep, intense—like an ancient, unfathomable well. His skin was pale, as though he hadn’t seen the sun for a long time. A small mole sat just above the corner of his eye, adding to the eerie, rebellious air around him.
It was obvious he was a strict and picky person—better not mess up with him.
