Dad sipped his wine before saying, “Samantha’s just as unfortunate as her damned mother. They’re both worthless pieces of trash who don’t deserve the good things in life!
“If her mother had agreed to give up her fortune when I’d asked nicely, she wouldn’t have ended up being tormented to the point of jumping off a building. That way, we wouldn’t need to keep acting to keep the truth from Hector. He’s an idiot, too!”
Jennifer rolled her eyes impatiently, sounding annoyed as she asked, “Why hasn’t the bitch arrived? I’ll kill her if she dares skip out on the wedding! If not for the fact that I’m sterile, she wouldn’t still be pregnant. What right does she have to marry Benjamin?
“Once the wedding is over, you two need to think of a way to get her into that correctional facility and make her die together. Maybe we should change it to a school of female morality this time.
“I’ll shed a few tears before Benjamin, and I’ll lie about Samantha bullying me–he’ll fall for it hook, line, and sinker. Then, we can use Samantha’s child to get our hands on her dead mother’s fortune…”
The three cackled after going over their plans. They didn’t notice Benjamin and Hector standing outside the room, looking thunderous.
Just then, the door was kicked down. Benjamin stood there, trembling with rage. He snarled, “Have you guys been lying to us this whole time?”
Hector was no longer the gentle, polite young man he was when with them. All that was left was his deep hatred.” You guys really did kill my mother.”
Jennifer, Dad, and Lisa were scared by them. Jennifer hastily stubbed out her cigarette and squeezed out a few tears, saying weakly, “You heard us wrongly, Benjamin. Samantha threatened us to say those things. She said she would abort the child if we didn’t!”
“How dare you mention Samantha’s name, you bitch!” Benjamin was insane with fury. He kicked Jennifer for daring to push the blame on me.
He trembled violently as the memories of the years we’d spent together flashed before his mind. It turned out I’d been innocent this whole time.
It had been 15 years. Just how many times had Jennifer made me out to be the bad guy? And how many times had

he hurt me?
He didn’t dare think about it. He was filled with remorse at the thought of the answer.
Jennifer was terrified. She scrambled away from Benjamin, but he grabbed her by the hair and dragged her back.” You said you had lung cancer, right? You should experience the pain that comes with it, then.”
He smiled menacingly. Then, he smashed a bottle of wine on her head, cutting her face with the broken shards. She clutched her face and screamed in pain.
Lisa was driven to madness when she saw this. She screeched, “I’m going to call the cops on you, you murderers! Jennifer has always been innocent–you two are the ones who have been hurting Samantha this whole time! What does this have to do with us?”
