Hugo lied. He told Jeremy the same lie since the boy was young, so he could only repeat the same thing to outsiders as well.
Celia hastily apologized, saying, “I’m so sorry for bringing it up.”
“It’s okay, it’s all in the past now.” Hugo’s gaze was hesitant as another girl’s figure appeared in his
mind.
As he listened to the voice similar to hers through the phone, he wondered if Celia spoke as sweetly and gently as this girl did to other men over the phone.
However, she would never reveal her truest thoughts to him. She used to behave timidly around him, but now, she attacked him with fury.
Celia still felt guilty. It was rude of her to dig up other people’s painful memories for no reason.
“Your son is very cute.”
Hugo suddenly asked in a low voice, “May I know your name?”
“I’m… Elise Wagner,” Celia blurted out. She was looking at the name of the female lead in the novel she was reading, and in the spur of the moment, she gave Hugo the female lead’s name instead.
The name Celia Stuart was too painful for her, whereas the female lead of the novel was leading the wonderful life she always dreamed of.
“What’s your name, sir?” All of a sudden, Celia wanted to know his name as well.
Perhaps because his last name was Spencer as well, and his voice reminded her a lot of that man, she somehow had the desire to know his name.
“My name is Sean Spencer. The man’s deep voice sounded on the other end of the line.
Celia subconsciously let out a sigh of relief. Just as expected, it wasn’t the man himself.
Meanwhile, Hugo‘ was in deep thought as he sat on the couch. He could’ve said his real name, but after some thought, he decided it wasn’t necessary to let the girl know who he was.
Too many women came to him for his wealth, so he didn’t want this girl to become like them. It would be boring if she tried to win his heart after finding out his identity.
“Mr. Spencer, it’s getting late, so let’s talk next time.” Celia realized that it was past 10.00PM already. He should be putting his son to sleep now.
Naturally, she shouldn’t take up more of his time.
“Alright goodbye” The man was quite decisive as he ended the call.

Celia looked at her phone and was stunned for a few seconds. This was the first time in four years that she felt curious about a man.
Even though she had no intention of falling for anyone or getting married for the rest of her life, Jeremy seemed to have become a person she cared for.
His mother had passed away, and he was living alone with his father. He lacked a mother’s love, so he desperately needed love and care.
Also, even though Celia never met Jeremy’s father, he was quite polite, and she didn’t hate him at all. He even injected a sense of companionship into her on a quiet night like this.
Celia received a call from Bryce early the next morning. “Celia, I’ve found some information. about your mom’s contract. Come to my house for a bit.”
Celia hastily replied, “I got it. I’ll be right there.”
After hurrying to Bryce’s home, Celia found Bryce wearing comfortable gray clothes. He exuded the charm of a homely gentleman.
“It’s not urgent, so we can talk about it after breakfast.” Bryce had personally prepared breakfast for her.
Celia was touched. “Thank you, Mr. Zamora.”
“Don’t keep referring to me as Mr. Zamora. You can just call me Bryce.”
Celia shook her head. “I’m already used to calling you Mr. Zamora.”
“Do
you always have to be so courteous around me?” Bryce was a little upset.
Celia didn’t reply, for she was getting hungry. As she ate the breakfast Bryce prepared for her, she wondered about the contract.
“What information did you find out?”
Seeing how curious she was, Bryce could only chat with her as they ate.
“I got someone to help investigate your mom’s equity contract. The shares are still in effect, and Celene Perfumery, which your mom established, is in the market after a makeover. Do you know which company is behind it?”
“Which one?” Celia hastily looked at him.
“KS International. Our competitor,” Bryce replied.
“What? KS International?” Celia was in disbelief, and at once, she gritted her teeth in anger. It was true; Pansy had snatched her mother’s company.
“The current president of the company is Pansy Coffman, Bryce stated.

“How can I not? She’s my stepmother. She snatched my dad away and took over my mom’s company.” Celia closed her eyes painfully, grieving for her deceased mother.
Bryce had never heard Celia mention her parents before this. He never thought that her family background would be so complicated and that her mother even owned a perfume company.
“Has your stepmother never told you that your mother still holds half of the shares in her company?” Bryce asked, frowning.
Celia
d never been treated well since young, so why would Pansy tell her about these things? If Celia hadn’t found this contract, Pansy would still be occupying her mother’s company without
remorse.
“I’ll make her return it to me,” Celia said through gritted teeth.
Bryce looked at her, his heart aching for her. “If there’s anything you need help with, you can always ask me.”
“Thank you. You’ve helped me too much,” Celia said gratefully, then added, “I’ll leave the contract with you for the time being.”
Was Pansy behind those people who snatched Celia’s box last time?
Also, someone had rummaged through her grandma’s house and made a mess of it. Did Pansy send someone to search the house already? Pansy’s shamelessness was completely beyond Celia’s expectations.
“Sure, I’ll hold onto it for you. Bryce nodded.
After breakfast, Celia borrowed a car from Bryce and went out. She wanted to have a look at the perfume comparly her mother established since it was no longer Pansy’s personal property.
She swore that she would take back everything that belonged to her.
KS International was situated in a commercial building in the city center. It ran businesses both internationally and locally, and it took up almost half of the perfume market. It was already a successful company.
Pansy managed to achieve this due to her hard work and her husband’s monetary support.
Celia’s car pulled up at the entrance of KS International. Celia looked up at the huge company signboard hanging on the building, strong fury flashing across her eyes.
She strode in and walked up to KS International’s reception desk.
“Who are you looking for, miss?” The receptionist immediately reached out to stop Celia.
“I’m looking for your president, Madam Pansy Coffman,” Celia said calmly.

“I am the eldest young lady of the Stuart Family. I don’t need an appointment to see her.” Celia revealed her identity.
The receptionist couldn’t help but be stunned. As far as she knew, there was only one young lady in the Stuart Family.
Where did this eldest young lady come from?
“May I know your name? I’ll inform her.”
“Celia Stuart.”
The receptionist immediately went to the phone. She reached out and called Pansy’s assistant, then relayed the information. She said to the waiting Celia, “Please wait for a moment.”
Pansy, who was reading documents in the office, heard her assistant’s report.
She frowned in surprise. “Are you sure that it’s her?”
“The receptionist called and said that it’s a girl named Celia Stuart.”
Pansy smirked slightly. Why was Celia bold enough to see her now? Still, she didn’t mind Celia. coming over to have a look at her current position in the business field. She wanted Celia to see how powerful she was.
