Chapter 27 Asking for Equity Back
Pansy smoothened the luxurious outfit she was wearing, then asked her assistant to accompany her to the reception.
Celia stood next to the vertical sign that displayed the history of the company. After reading the entire history, she sneered in her heart.
One of the sentences was a pain to read.
‘President Pansy Coffman established the international perfume brand, adhering to remarkable ideals of publicity as it advanced to new heights in the local perfume scene!
“Hello, Celia! You’re here! Why didn’t you inform me beforehand?” Pansy’s voice sounded behind Celia, an arrogant tone evident in her voice.
Celia turned around and stared at Pansy with a cold look. “I want to talk to you alone.”
“You can talk to me at home, so you actually don’t have to come all the way here.” Pansy sensed hostility coming from Celia, so she changed her tone..
“Some things are better discussed in the company.” Cold hatred hid behind Celia’s eyes.
The assistant and receptionist sensed it as well, and they hastily lowered their heads.
Pansy couldn’t keep her cool as she said to her assistant, “Take her to Meeting Room 3.”
“This way, please, Miss Stuart.”
Celia followed the assistant in. Behind her, Pansy had a worried look in her
eyes.
What does Celia want to talk about that she insists on discussing in the company? Did she figure something
out?
After Celia took a seat, the assistant gave her a cup of water and then went out.
Pansy purposefully delayed her arrival. She made Celia wait for more than 10 minutes before opening the door and walking in. She crossed her legs as she sat down, facing Celia. “Go on. What is it that you simply have to talk about in the company?”
Celia examined the company, then looked up and asked curiously, “What is KS International’s market value right now?”
Pansy could barely hide her glee as she said, “Around 280 million, I’d say. But we established a new partnership this year, so it might rise next year.”
“That’s some decent management.” A cold smile flashed across Celia’s eyes. “That means I can get 140 million without doing anything.”
“What did vou say?” Pansy’s expression shifted as she remembered the equity contract she didn’t

“KS International’s initial form is Celene Perfumery, isn’t it? That’s the company my mother established, and she holds 50% of the company’s equity, which was stated very clearly in her contract. If something happened to her, her daughter, also known as me, has the absolute right to inherit it.”
Celia recited those words while gritting her teeth and staring right into Pansy’s eyes.
Pansy was panicking inside, but she reprimanded coldly, “What nonsense are you spouting? Who told you that my company has anything to do with your mother?”
Celia, however, looked coldly at Pansy’s shocked expression. She narrowed her eyes and said, “Even though my mother is gone, the contract detailing her ownership of Celene Perfumery still exists, and the legal benefits are still in effect. No matter what you do, you cannot deny that I own half the equity of this company.”
“You” Pansy glared at Celia. She was two decades older than Celia, but she became a little. flustered in front of Celia while the latter remained calm.
Damn it! I underestimated Celia in the end. She never thought that Celia would find the contract back then. She had sent people to search Celia’s grandmother’s home multiple times, but she still couldn’t find it.
“You sent someone to search Grandma’s house for that contract, didn’t you? And you even sent someone to snatch it from me! Pansy, no matter how hard you try, you cannot take away what is rightfully mine,” Celia said, gritting her teeth.
“What nonsense are you spouting?! Don’t slander me with some accusation you made up! You shouldn’t make claims without evidence,” Pansy said with a cold look on her face.
“Pansy, you and my mother have been close friends since you were young. I cannot understand how shameless you have to be to seduce my father and take my mother’s place, then chase me out of the family. You even wanted to harm me time and again. You’re such a vicious woman,” Celia said, every syllable loud and clear.
Pansy’s expression turned even colder. She had always overlooked a side character like Celia, but she never expected that today, Celia would turn into a sharp dagger that pierced her chest. She was caught off guard.
“Your grandma probably told you how your mom died. She died in the passenger seat of a car belonging to an extremely rich man. She was the shameless homewrecker here, and your dad would hate her until the day he died. Your grandma is even more despicable for raising such an immoral daughter, and you should be ashamed to have a mother like that.” Pansy stood up and retorted from her higher position.
“The pain in Celia’s heart was indescribable. It hurt to hear her mother being insulted, much more than getting killed herself.
“Shut up. My mom isn’t someone like that. Celia gritted her teeth as she refuted angrily.
“Evidence suggests that she’s a shameless wretch, and since you’re her daughter, I should advise you not to be as wretched as your mom” Pansy sneered and insulted Celia in a corky tone

Celia couldn’t hold onto her sense of reason anymore. She reached out and picked up the cup on the desk, then flung the water at Pansy without hesitation.
“Ah!” Pansy’s head was drenched in water. She screamed in frenzied anger, “Celia, how dare you. treat me like this!”
Celia put down the cup. “I will never give up on taking back the equity. You’ll either give me half the equity of this company, or I’ll see you in court.”
With that, Celia opened the door of the meeting room and left. Behind her, Pansy’s howls sounded. “You wretch! You’ll never get any part of my company, you hear that?!”
Celia walked out of the company, her mood at an all–time low. She got into the car, and then drove aimlessly forward.
At that moment, since she was in the city center, there were a lot of cars on the road. Celia looked up to see a building in front of her that reached the clouds.
The huge words ‘Spencer Group‘ shone brilliantly on the screen that hung from the building. It shimmered with an intimidating golden light.
Celia was extremely distracted as Hugo’s accursed figure from last night entered her mind.
Distraction was a taboo in driving because one would be too prone to accidents. Just as expected, Celia had just stepped on the gas pedal when she rammed into the next car, which was trying to cut in front.
Bang!
It was a rear–end accident, and Celia’s mind went blank for a few seconds. She looked at the hazard lights blinking on the car in front of her, noticing that the rear end of the car was squashed. She covered her face and regretted the fact that she had gotten distracted.
Even worse, she got into an accident on the road right next to Spencer Group. She saw a middle- aged man getting out of the car in front of her and examining his car. Then, he glared furiously at Celia, who was in the driver’s seat.
Celia hastily got out of her car to apologize. “I’m sorry. Sir, I’m so sorry.”
“Watch where you’re going! I just bought this brand–new car! I’m telling you, you’d better have insurance already.” The man was mad that his precious car was ruined.
He was the one who suddenly cut in front of her and got hit, so he was the one at fault. Hence, he wanted to intimidate Celia so that she would think that her mistakes had caused this accident.
Celia hastily said, “Please wait a moment. Let me make a call.”
“You have to pay up no matter what calls you make, I’m telling you. You’re responsible for this.” The man pointed at her rudely.

“Hello, Mr. Zamora? I accidentally rammed into another car from the back, Celia said in

“Are you okay? Where are you? I’ll be there right away” Bryce’s worried voice instantly rang out.
“I’m fine, but there’s an indent on the front of your car now”
“The car doesn’t matter as long as you’re fine. Send me your address, and I’ll be there right away Bryce was ready to rush over to her.
After ending the call, Celia looked to see that the man was making a call as well. He was talking loudly about the accident, describing how Celia had run into him carelessly.
Celia was exasperated. Of course, she had no intention of shirking her responsibility, but she didn’t like how the man pinned all the blame on her.
A black Rolls–Royce Phantom turned onto another road from the road in the other direction. There was a slight traffic jam because of the accident up ahead.
“Mr. Spencer, the traffic in front of us is congested, so we might not be able to make it to the meeting.” The assistant, Mathias Finch, turned around.
