Chapter 32 Encounter at the Restaurant.
Afterward, Hugo went to take a bath, and when he returned, he held Jeremy in his arms and patiently told him a bedtime story despite feeling tired.
Jeremy fell asleep in his father’s arms while listening to the story. When Hugo glanced at the cute sleeping face, his eyes,
filled with utmost gentleness and happiness.
That night at the Coffman Residence.
Pansy could not sleep, so she sat in the living room on the second floor with a resentful expression. Then, Callum approached her and placed a shirt over her shoulders, coaxing her, “Let’s go to bed! It’s late, and you shouldn’t be sitting outside.”
“How do you expect me to sleep? Your eldest daughter is about to sue me,” Pansy retorted.
“Celia is just overreacting.”
“I think she’s never respected me as an elder. You weren’t there to see how arrogant and rude she was when she dashed water in my face.” Remembering that scene made her so furious that she gnashed her teeth. It was simply the most humiliated she had ever felt.
“I apologize to you on behalf of Celia,” Callum sat down to comfort her.
“Why should you apologize on her behalf? She should come and apologize to me herself.” Pansy’s anger had not diminished but increased.
“Alright. Alright. She’s just a child!”
But to Pansy, Celia was no child. Celia was her enemy that had to be removed.
“You should talk to her when you’re free. I’ve been solely responsible for that company since it was established, so I will never give her half of the company.” Pansy looked at her husband, knowing he was in the same boat as her. Also, they had their properties listed as joint property, so he would lose funds for his company if anything happened to hers.
“Fine. I’ll talk to Celia.” Callum nodded.
It was then that Pansy released her breath and reprimanded, “We must have neglected her in the past, which made her develop such a rude personality. Who would want to marry someone like her?”
Hearing that, Callum felt somewhat guilty. He should have raised Celia himself. If she grew up beside him, she wouldn’t be this disobedient.
The next morning, Pansy called the company’s legal specialist to discuss whether she could void the equity agreement in Celia’s hand. In the end, the five lawyers spent half the day discussing in the conference room but concluded that the agreement could not be voided, and once Celia insisted on suing Pansy, her share of the equity would be valid.

point, she could only resort to forceful methods to make Celia surrender the equity agreement.
Since there weren’t any important people she could capture and threaten Celia with, she could only threaten Celia with death. A cold glint appeared in Pansy’s eyes. I must get rid of this troublesome girl.
In the meantime, Celia was in the middle of asking Bryce about the lawsuit because she knew Pansy would never agree to give her the equity. She originally wanted to ask Callum for help, but his attitude had disappointed her. It was not the equity or the money that drove her to do so but the act of getting even for her mother. As her mother’s best friend, Pansy took away her mother’s husband and property. That was simply outrageous..
After listening to her idea, Bryce fell into deep thought. “Celia, I must remind you that you need. to have several hundred thousand prepared for this lawsuit because you have a small chance of winning.”
Celia stirred her coffee. Indeed, she could not present that amount of money at once, and even if her grandmother’s residential area was going to be demolished, it would take a long time before she received the compensation money.
“But don’t worry. I will lend you the money. Bryce immediately assured her with a smile. “I will stand firmly behind you and help you get back your mother’s equity.”
A strong sense of gratitude appeared in her eyes. “Thank you, Bryce.”
This time, she did not call him Mr. Zamora but by his name.
Surprise filled Bryce’s eyes as he demanded, “From now on, you are not to call me ‘Mr. Zamora‘ again. Just Bryce!”
“How about I treat you to a meal?” Celia wanted to thank him. That was because she could only count on Bryce to lend her the money needed for the lawsuit, so she was thankful for his kind deed.
At that moment, her phone rang. It was from her father, and though she did not feel like answering the call, she still did. “Hey, Dad.”
“Celia, are you free? I would like to chat with you.” Callum’s gentle voice sounded from the speaker.
“Dad, if you’re going to persuade me to give up on the equity, then no, I don’t want to talk about it.” Celia went straight to the point.
“Why do you want those equities? You don’t even know how to run a business. If you’re in need of money, you can ask me. I will buy you any house or car you want,” Callum reasoned.
I have money. What I want is equity and justice.” Celia stood firmly on her ground.
“Why… Why are you so stubborn? We’re family. Can’t we talk this through?” Callum was slightly angry. “You even dashed water on Pansy’s face. That is not how you should treat your elders.”

that, Celia hung up, and tears began streaming down her face. Her father was in the same boat as Pansy and Yana, so he naturally would not show her much affection, but she no longer needed it
now.
Bryce saw her crying and grabbed some tissues before sitting next to her, comforting her, “Don’t cry, Celia. You still have me.”
Using the tissue to wipe her tears, Celia breathed out and said, “Thank you, Bryce.
“I’ll bring you for a ride and have lunch while we’re at it. He held her hand and offered.
Since she was indeed in a bad mood, she followed Bryce out the door. Then at 11.30AM, Bryce’s car stopped before a high–end restaurant.
“The dishes here aren’t bad. Why don’t we give it a try?”
Meanwhile, a guest had just taken his seat beside the floor–to–ceiling window. Hugo was ordering food to treat his good friend who just returned from abroad. Once he was done and the attendant left, he picked up his cup and drank his tea.
Suddenly, he saw a pair of customers coming in through the door. As they walked inside, the man’s hand was slightly wrapped around the woman’s figure.
Hugo’s actions suddenly stopped as his cold eyes narrowed when he saw the woman was none other than his ex–wife, Celia Stuart.
Since Celia was in a bad mood, she did not feel like looking around. Meanwhile, Bryce asked for a window scat and led her to sit at their table.
She propped her chin on her hand and began choosing what to eat after Bryce handed her the menu. However, she was oblivious that someone was staring at her with his deep, black eyes with an expression that was as cold as ice.
It’s such a large city, yet I just happen to bump into her having lunch with her new lover, the man thought.
After ordering her food, Celia smiled sweetly at Bryce. “Your turn.”
After Bryce took away the menu, she realized someone was staring at her, so she looked over with smiling eyes. However, her smile instantly froze because Hugo had been sitting at the table before them at some point.
Celia shot him a hateful glare as her happy mood was disrupted.
