“Celia, would you like anything to drink?” Bryce asked.
Celia smiled. “No, thank you.”
Since they had already ordered their food, she decided to ignore that certain scumbag.
Suddenly, Bryce took out something from his pocket and instructed Celia. “Stretch out your hand.”
While blinking in confusion, Celia still did as she was told.
Then, Bryce covered her hand with his, and a cool–to–the–touch necklace fell onto her palm. Once he removed his hand, she could see a necklace lying on her hand.
“What is this for?” Celia asked in surprise.
“I accompanied my mother to a jewelry store yesterday and thought this necklace might suit you, so I bought it,” Bryce explained casually.
However, Celia could tell it was no ordinary necklace. If the gem on the necklace was a real diamond, this necklace would probably cost several thousand! “I can’t take this. She thought it was too expensive and was worried about accepting it.
“I don’t care. It’s yours now,” Bryce remarked domineeringly.
Celia laughed and pleaded with him, “Please take it back! I can’t accept this.”
The affectionate couple seemed to have not noticed the man at another table watching them.
Hugo’s cold eyes narrowed into slits as his gaze fell onto the woman’s face, feeling inexplicably frustrated. Is she rejecting him? But the way she’s acting is obviously enticing to him. It seems like she’s quite familiar with such tactics.
Then, Celia placed the necklace before Bryce, indicating that she refused to accept it. But Bryce suddenly grabbed the necklace and got up. Celia watched in surprise as he came behind her and stretched the necklace before her neck.
“Bryce, what…” Celia felt slightly embarrassed and then felt the necklace’s cold chain against her collarbones as Bryce bowed his head to help her wear it.
In her frantic state, she suddenly looked into a pair of dangerous–looking eyes and discovered. Hugo watching them. For some unknown reason, she stopped resisting and shyly moved her hair to the side. When Bryce saw her snowy–white neck, he gulped and could not help but lean into her neck to place a kiss there. The cold touch of his li
startled her, and she looked up at him.
Bryce smiled. “It suits you.”
Meanwhile, Hugo watched the two lovey–dovey couples with his dark, cold eyes.

Celia rejected Bryce just now but was now openly enjoying his gift. She did not know why she did that, but when she saw the gloomy expression on a certain someone’s face, she instantly felt. happy. The spiteful words he had said to her were still ringing in her mind. He said she could only be his forever and would only die by his hands.
He said he would rather destroy something he owned than let someone use it, and it was the same for women.
He said even if her heart did not belong to him, her body must be his.
He also said that he would be her only man in this lifetime.
But now, Celia was using her actions to show him that all the domineering words and actions he did were just bullsh*t. She could accept any man’s pursuit, and it was happening right before his
eves.
“It’s beautiful. I knew I had good taste.” Bryce smiled, enjoying the view of the necklace on her collarbone.
Celia touched the necklace and smiled gently. “Thank you, I like it a lot. Then, she informed him before leaving the table, “Excuse me. I need to use the bathroom.”
She was lost in thought when coming out from the ladies‘ room, but suddenly, a large figure approached her from the hallway leading to the balcony and blocked her way. Surprised by that, she looked up and saw the icy face belonging to Hugo.
Her beautiful eyes turned cold as ice. “Move.”
“Celia, I question your taste in men,” Hugo sarcastically remarked. The way he said it sounded like Bryce was not a good man.
A sneer appeared on her face. “What does it have to do with you?”
With a swing of his long legs, Hugo instantly moved closer, blocking the light coming in from outside the window. A very oppressive shadow cast onto Celia’s face, making her uneasy.
“Go away,” Celia demanded rudely.
“Have you told him about our relationship? Did you mention how you pleaded with me while lying under me?” A sarcastic smile appeared on the man’s face. The words he said were like thorns piercing into her ears and into her heart.
“Hugo, shut up,” she warned with gritted teeth.
“Asking me to shut up still won’t change the fact that you were previously involved with me. Do you think your new boyfriend will mind that?” Hugo mocked. “Do you need me to tell him that you sleep with me every single night of the year besides the days you’re on your period?” Hugo was behaving like Satan.
Celia’s face instantly turned red as she raised her hand, wanting to give him a slap to shut him up.

up with someone? Who is he to care who I’m in a relationship with?
“You listen to me too. I’m happy to sleep with someone for free. You can’t control what I do.”
Once she finished, she struggled free and quickly escaped.
The man behind her had a fierce expression while watching Celia leave. Then, he punched the wall as the anger in his eyes increased. When he returned to his table, he saw her sitting before Bryce, and she shot him a disdainful look.
At that moment, a tall figure came through the door. It was Hugo’s best buddy, Ernie Reynolds. However, Ernie immediately noticed a furious expression on a certain someone’s face just as he sat down.
“What’s the matter?” He raised an eyebrow, wondering who had offended Hugo.
Hugo replied flatly, “It’s nothing.”
Meanwhile, Bryce only had eyes for Celia, so he did not know two handsome men were sitting behind him, but Celia did. She remembered Hugo had a close buddy, so the person sitting with him might be that friend. Since he was Hugo’s friend, she had an instinctive dislike for him as well.
“I’m full. Let’s go!” Celia had lost her appetite.
Bryce did not force her to eat more. But why? Oh, well, I might have chosen the wrong restaurant! When he got up to help Celia grab her bag, he finally noticed Hugo behind him. After being surprised for a few seconds, he seemed to have understood why Celia did not have much appetite. At that instant, he met Hugo’s eyes, and the other gave him an arrogant stare out of the corner of his eyes.
While Bryce was stunned, Celia affectionately hugged his arm. “Let’s go!”
That made Bryce stop hesitating and happily enjoy her affectionate behavior, but he did not know that behind him, a man was holding his glass so tightly that it almost shattered.
Indeed, there was a crisp sound of glass breaking as the glass shattered in his hand.
