Chapter 39 Celia Angers Yana
The next morning, Celia grabbed her bag and headed to Bryce’s company for work. She had been taking many vacation days recently, so she had to stop being idle and start working. Her mother’s notebook had inspired her, and a good idea had sprouted in her mind.
Just as she was about to drive away, a black off–road vehicle appeared behind her. From then on, Hugo’s bodyguards would be responsible for her safety.
Of course, Celia had no idea she was protected by the man she hated the most.
She had just arrived at Lovan Corp when she saw a bouquet on her table with a note saying, “Happy Working
It was a no–brainer that the card was from Bryce. She released a sigh as she could not accept his feelings.
That afternoon, she went to the laboratory because the final product of the new product she had been preparing for a long time might finally be out. Around evening, she received a call from Bryce before getting off work, saying he was at the Harper’s Bazaar fashion show and invited her to join him.
Since Celia created Pinesnow No. 5, she became a phenomenal character at the company, so he would often bring her to prestigious occasions and introduce her to potential customers.
When abroad, she previously helped her company get several expensive custom orders from such venues.
Once she arrived, she was met with a massive crowd of fans and media personnel. She called Bryce, but he was meeting with a few clients and asked her to head backstage to rest. While patiently waiting, she suddenly heard someone mocking her.
“Is a mere perfumer like you qualified to be here?”
She knew who it was just by the voice. Turning around, she saw Yana in a grand evening dress, escorted by her manager and assistant.
“Celia, that’s Yana Stuart, an A–plus celebrity,” Michelle reminded her.
Celia sneered. “It’s not up to you to judge whether I’m qualified.”
“I heard you’re trying to fight for KS International’s equity. I dare you to try,” Yana openly threatened Celia.
With cold eyes, Celia rebuked, “What’s mine will be mine sooner or later.”
“Yana, who is she?” Yana’s manager asked with a frown.
“The daughter of my dad’s ex–wife. She’s the one I told you about. Her mother’s a mistress! She cheated with a rich businessman in the mountains, and they both fell off the cliff.” Yana had a

Everyone’s gazes landed on Celia, their eyes filled with mockery and disdain. Since they had been with Yana for a long time, the stories they heard were exciting, especially the ones involving Celia’s mother.
“Yana, you’d better zip it. Celia gritted her teeth.
“What would you do if I refused? Are you going to beat me up? Your mother’s a b*tch, and so are you.” Yana raised her eyebrow in delight.
Since Celia had been holding a cup of coffee, she immediately splashed it onto Yana’s face.
“Ahh-“Yana failed to dodge, so her delicate face was instantly drenched in brown. Moreover, the coffee was still hot, so she covered her face and wailed, assuming she would be disfigured. The people beside her were instantly in a frenzy, taking tissues, protecting, and checking up on her.
“Is my face ruined?” Yana immediately took a mirror from her assistant and carefully checked every inch of her skin. Fortunately, her skin was slightly red and not scalded. Otherwise, she might have to miss her fan signing event later.
“That b*tch,” she roared. How could she stand such humiliation? Yet, when everyone returned to their senses, they realized Celia and Michelle were gone. She instantly lost her cool and barked. “Find her. I’m going to make her pay.”
Meanwhile, in a quiet corner, Michelle looked at Celia with distressed eyes, asking, “Celia, are you. alright?”
While shaking her head, Celia replied, “I’m fine.”
The bodyguards who had entered the venue witnessed what had happened, but the situation was too chaotic; the lights were so dim that Celia managed to slip away before they could register the unfolding event. However, they did hear Yana screaming, “Find her. I want her dead.”
Undeniably, Celia had made Yana so furious that she was about to explode.
After looking around the place, the bodyguards decided to report this incident to Hugo as they worried it would be a tricky explanation if something happened to Celia.
In the meantime, Hugo was coming out of a restaurant with Jeremy. The kid ate a hearty meal tonight, and the belly inside his shirt was slightly protruding. He had a spring in his step while holding his father’s hand.
At that moment, Hugo’s phone rang. He squinted at it before answering, “Hello,
“Mr. Spencer, there’s a slight situation here.” The bodyguard’s voice sounded in Hugo’s ear.
“What happened?” He felt his heart tighten.
The bodyguard described how Celia had splashed coffee onto Yana. “That celebrity has sent out seven to eight bodyguards to look for Miss Stuart. We’re worried she might be in danger if one of them finds her.”

“Yes, Mr. Spencer. Mathias nodded before turning to the kid, coaxing him gently. “Let’s get in the car. Mr. Jeremy!”
While Hugo’s motorcade escorted Jeremy home, Hugo quickly got into an off–road vehicle and sped toward the Harper’s Bazaar fashion show venue.
Coincidentally, the place was nearby–the city’s culture and arts center–just about two streets down from where he was
The outside of the venue was bombarded with fans and media personnel, so Hugo had to enter from the staff’s entrance at the side of the building.
“Hello, may I- One of the staff came to ask him.
“I’m looking for someone,” the man replied while scanning the place.
Even the most ignorant staff could see that the man was not ordinary. He wore expensive clothes and exuded a noble temperament, which made it telling that he was rich.
“Please, come inside. The staff immediately let him pass
When Hugo arrived inside the backstage lobby, he called the bodyguards. Soon, the bodyguards who had been searching around arrived backstage and met up with Hugo. “Mr. Spencer, we still can’t find any trace of Miss Stuart, the bodyguard reported. They were all gasping from the search.
The venue was enormous. With four levels dedicated to the working staff. there were a lot of rooms to search.
“Continue looking, and inform me if you find her,” Hugo ordered and then walked away, joining the search party.
