Chapter 40 Saved by Him Again
He was filled with frustration right then, wondering why he would care so much about that woman’s safety.
That said, he didn’t stop. He continued forward along the corridor in search of her.
Where exactly had Celia gone? She had originally planned to look for Bryce with Michelle, but she unexpectedly encountered Yana’s bodyguard looking for her. As such, she instructed Michelle to find Bryce while she hid for a moment.
Once Michelle left, Celia realized the former had been carrying her bag for her. When she came out of the restroom, she noticed that her bag was no longer with her. Now, it was impossible for her to even find Bryce.
She no longer cared whether Yana’s men were looking for her anymore. She had to get to Bryce and Michelle.
Alas, she was confronted by two men in suits as soon as she stepped into a corridor. “That’s her!” one of them called out.
Celia immediately turned and ran toward the adjacent corridor, hearing the bodyguard’s voice behind her. “Don’t run.”
She knew she didn’t need to fear them, but the coffee she had just spilled was still hot. In other words, she would be doomed if Yana caught her. Hence, she couldn’t let Yana’s men catch her.
“Don’t run,” the bodyguard called out again.
Celia sprinted away without knowing where she was going. Ultimately, she ran up a corridor on the fourth floor, only to find it was a dead end. The pathway going upward was locked with a large padlock.
“There you are…” said the two pursuing bodyguards, panting and standing with their hands on their hips, casting fierce glares at Celia.
“Stay back!” Celia warned, panting for breath.
These two bodyguards were paid by Yana’s studio, and the girl in front of them had just splashed coffee all over Yana’s face. Hence, they felt obligated to capture her and bring her before Yana.
“S–Stay back…” Celia grew panicky as she looked at the two approaching bodyguards.
At the sight of her beauty, the bodyguards exchanged glances. Indecent thoughts flashed across their minds. Even if they didn’t do anything else, a little hugging and touching wouldn’t hurt.
Celia wore a professional white dress that looked delicate and charming under the lights, and her slightly panicked appearance only fueled the two bodyguards‘ desire to intimidate her.
“Cooperate with us, and we’ll let you go.” One of the bodyguards smirked sinisterly.

“Yeah! Just let us have some fun with you.” The other one chuckled coldly.
At that, Celia glared daggers at them. “If you dare touch me-

“This area is marked as ‘No Entry for Unauthorized Personnel, and no one will come here at the moment. One of the bodyguards noticed the sign and grew bolder.
Faced with two pairs of increasingly sinister eyes, Celia went from panic to fear.
“You… Get away from me!” She tried to look around for something, but the two bodyguards immediately grabbed her, each holding one of her arms. One of them opened the door to a nearby room, and amid Celia’s desperate struggle, they pushed her into the darkness.
As they pushed and pulled, Celia dropped to the ground. In her panic, she kicked off her heels and struck the bodyguard on the head as he reached out to her.
“Ah!” the man cried out in pain, then suddenly slapped Celia across the face.
“F*ck, how dare you hit me?!” he roared menacingly.
Celia felt her ear ringing, and she could taste blood from the pain in the corner of her mouth. She trembled all over, overcome once again with intense fear.
“No… Get away… You b*stard!” Celia shouted in anger, feeling utterly hopeless.
Seeing the woman trembling in fear after the slap, the bodyguards chuckled coldly. They quickly unbuckled their belts, determined to satisfy their animalistic desires.
just then, the tightly shut door was forcefully kicked open. Before the bodyguards could react, they saw a figure walking in against the backlight. This man was half a head taller as he towered over them, and he exuded an incredibly intimidating aura.
A pair of eagle–like eyes stared at them.
“W–Who are you?” The two bodyguards were startled, their faces turning pale. They quickly re- buckled the belts. As they were doing so, a powerful punch swept across one of their faces. One bodyguard was knocked to the ground, and the man’s long legs stomped heavily on his chest, producing a cracking sound.

The other bodyguard panicked and tried to the man grabbed him and forcefully pressed him against the wall. The man’s iron fist struck his temple with force.
“Ah!” screamed the bodyguard as he fell to the ground, writhing in pain.
Celia hugged herself, lifting her head from her chest. She looked at the man beating up bodyguards. Alas, she couldn’t see his face clearly due to the dim lighting.

Enveloped in astonishment and fear, Celia stared at the man before her with incredulity. What is he doing here?
“I’ll take you out,” Hugo said, his voice unexpectedly soft.
Celia supported herself against the wall and tried to stand up, but her legs gave way for some reason. She grabbed the man’s shoulder while her body trembled slightly. Suddenly, a strong arm encircled her waist, and the man leaned down to lift her.
He clenched his teeth when they passed by the two bodyguards writhing in pain and kicked one of them in the head.
The man begged for mercy, holding his head. “Please spare me! Have mercy!”
Celia was exhausted. Feeling dizzy and lightheaded, she leaned against the man’s shoulder and closed her eyes to rest.

Rage surged within Hugo, making him wish he could just kill those two men right there and then. As for the source of this anger, he couldn’t be bothered to investigate anymore.
