Soon enough, the pressure of the college entrance exam was over. I got a 736, making me the valedictorian in our province and
getting me into MIT.
My parents were finally proud of me and rarely said anything bad to me. They even threw a party and bragged about me to everyone, even neglecting Jake.
On the day of the party, my parents were busy entertaining guests. Sarah rushed over to them, whispering something. Mom and Dad suddenly looked worried, and rushed off, leaving the guests confused.
Two lifetimes, I knew Jake’s game by heart,
he was only faking it e

he was only faking it to get their attention. I
didn’t panic and started entertaining the
guests.
The one who was the most excited was Mrs.
Green, my mom’s friend, who had her kid,
Abby, out of wedlock, and they set up an
arranged marriage for us.
Abby and I grew up together, she was clingy when she was little, and we were always getting teased by Sarah because she would turn red whenever she saw me, and she would always shyly give me snacks.
When she left with her family, she cried,
telling me she was gonna marry me in the
future, and that I shouldn’t fall for anyone else.

Last life, after everyone was stolen from me
by Sarah, my only hope was Abby. I was really
into her last life, and I also wanted her love,
to tell myself that I was not that bad.
But she had already hooked up with Jake, and
to take revenge for Jake, she left with Jake at
our engagement party. I waited, but she never
came, and everyone mocked me.
I thought my parents would get justice for me,
after all I was their son.
But in the end, I found out that it was my
parents and Sarah that were helping them
hide.
I snapped back to the present, smiling at Abby’s mom. “Mrs. Green, I’m gonna go see Jake at the hospital.”
<
I was studying Finance at MIT, I could help
her family with their issues. And to connect
with me, she followed me to the hospital.
At the hospital, everyone was by Jake’s bed.
He looked weak.
“Mom, Dad, sorry for worrying you, it’s just
low blood sugar. I’m fine, just go back and be
with Danny.”
“I don’t want to make him mad at me again.”
He coughed a few times.
“Danny’s all grown up, he can take care of
himself. It’s your health that we worry about.”
Mom sounded worried.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of him.” Abby was
looking at Jake with stars in her eyes, and
<
Jake’s ears turned red. And my mom, didn’t
even think about the fact that Abby was my
fiancé, smiled.
“Those two look perfect for each other.
Abby sat by Jake, blushing as she kissed him.
on the forehead.
I saw it all with Mrs. Green.
Mrs. Green’s eyes widened, she yelled,
“Abby!”
“You have no shame.”
