Nico’s POV
I knew the moment she was satisfied that she wouldn’t want me around her anymore, but I will not be letting her go. I felt her stiffen up and get shy on me, but we are mates, and I knew as soon as her heat kicked in again that I will mate her right then. She may be mad about it later, but I just saw how powerful our bond was to us both. If nothing else happens tonight besides my
helping her with her heat, that would still be well worth it all for me.
I knew when she stiffened up on me after she came, that she would probably give me an earful. But even though she is watching me carefully, she doesn’t seem to be angry with me, so I guess I need to be thankful for her heat for that as well. I let go of her waist and allowed her to crab–crawl back away from me, towards the headboard. She covers herself up with the comforter as if she is ashamed to be exposed to me now, and I crawled up to the headboard after her and lay on the other side of the bed, but I make no attempt to cover myself. I know she is attracted to me, and I also know that because of her heat she will not be able to hide her arousal from me when it hits her again, it will fill the room, and I have plenty of time to wait her out.
I see her trying to look anywhere but at me, but I catch her glancing over at me several times. I am glad that she appreciates my form, and that will help me out, in the long run. her face change and show some anger now, and I wait to hear what she is about to say to me.

“Yes, I heard you say that. I also heard you tell me you love me and would never hurt me again, and then you did hurt me again. So, pardon me if I don’t believe you Nico Sabrina tells me, and that makes me frown.
“I had to Sabrina, she was demanding I sleep with her, or she was calling in the contract and would have taken it out on my people, our people, as you are my Luna. She had me in an awkward position. I need to get my people safely out of the pack, and I needed time to do that. She was serious about kicking me out of my own pack right then. I tried to get it over with quickly, as I didn’t enjoy it at all, she is more vicious than I ever knew she was. She was always nice and kind to me, and my pack members before, and I didn’t know who she really was, until the night I met you. I found out then that she is devious and malicious, and that I never knew her at all” I told Sabrina.
“I told you that I would help you get your pack members out. I told you all you had to do was take me back home Nico. Shelby cannot be trusted, and you will need a lot of help to get this done. You are tying my hands when you try to do this on your own. I could help you get this done quickly so you can leave her behind. You cannot deal with her, she will never voluntarily let you go, she loves you in her own weird way. I believe that she is obsessed with you, and she will never let you go to be with me. Losing you will drive her out of her mind: Sabrina told me.
“I can manage Shelby, she isn’t as smart as she thinks that she is. I called Asher last night after she forced herself on me and insisted on us having s*x. I spoke to both him and your father, and although they weren’t happy with the contract I signed, they were willing to help me and my people out of this situation. I know that they are doing it to help you and I because we are mated. But I appreciate their help anyway” I told her.
“Nico, if you hadn’t been trying to play nice with her the whole time, we could have already taken care of your problem months ago. You do not think clearly, and it is like you really don’t want to claim me at all. I see you running hot and cold, and I cannot be a part of this. You either want me and accept me fully right now or accept my rejection. Please, you have to end this one way or another. I am the only one being punished with this mate bond. You and Shelby have s*x every day and it is killing me slowly. I don’t deserve the pain I am going through, please just release me, and let me go. You have your Luna, she is at your pack right now, please just let me go Sabrina begs me.
“You are causing me pain just by asking me to reject you, Sabrina. I love you and I want you, I am making arrangements right now to take care of our people, and then we can be together, forever, Please just give me another week to get this taken care of” I

Sabrina looks at me for a little while and then nods her head slowly. “I will agree to a week Nico, ONE more week. But if you hurt me again, and it won’t matter the “reason” for it, I will make sure that you never see me again, ever. We will be through at that point. You have hurt me more than anyone else in my life, and I am the one paying for the mistakes that you decided to make. That deal you made, with Shelby, only benefits her. She has plenty of money, and she couldn’t hope to spend it all in her lifetime, it was a deal where she got all the benefits and no drawbacks. I hope you take what I said seriously, Nico. the last time, I cannot take any more of your empty promises” Sabrina tells me, and she is dead serious.
“I understand, I will not hurt you again,” I told her, and she nods and then turns over with her back to me and shuts her eyes to go to sleep. I get up and cross the room to hit the lights and come back to the bed and slip under the covers and slide up to her. I
pull her back to me and at first, she is stiff in my arms but after about 5 minutes her breathing has evened out and she is asleep. and I suddenly wish we were facing each other, so I could look at my precious mate.
I lean in and sniff her neck and her smell floods my senses. I love her so much, and I know she means what she said, that I am on a timeline, and I cannot mess up anymore. I can feel her emotions and even though we are bound by the mate bond, I know that she is absolutely serious about what she said. I do need to figure out a way out of the contract that I signed. I cannot sleep with Shelby again, or I would kiss Sabrina good–bye. I sign and lay back onto my side and keep my arm around her waist to keep her pressed into my body. I want to spend every night, for the rest of my life sleeping with Sabrina. She brings me comfort and
peace just laying here asleep. Now that I have had a taste of her, I will not ever let her go.
I fall into a deep sleep, and I know it is because we are safe here together and I am with my mate. I woke up to her scent
surrounding me and my d**k ready to go with her arousal floating in the air. Sabrina’s heat is back in full swing, and I plan on
taking advantage of my shot at sleeping with her right now. From the smell of it, she is ready to go as well, and I need to make sure that when she is fully awake, she thinks of nothing else than to let me have my way with her.
