Chapter 26
Nico’s POV
I don’t know why Sabrina is making such a big deal out of this. She is acting like I am going off to war and will never come back. I love her and I will be back for her as soon as I can. She refused to have s*x with me anymore and apparently, I just cannot comfort her, as she isn’t responding to me anymore. I mean, I love her, and she is important to me, but I need to make sure that my people are taken care of, and I want Jaden to stay with her and take care of her.
She is my mate, and she may just be emotional because she is already with child. I get excited by that, as her heat is gone, and she isn’t interested in me having s*x with her anymore. The heat literally kind of forced it onto her, and I don’t know how long her heats usually lasted. I did ask her how long they usually lasted, but she just curled up on her side with her back to me and ignored me. I guess I can pack to go back to Golden Summit. I waited on her to come out of the bathroom, but she stayed in there for over 4 hours and I finally gave up and packed my bag. I was going to get an uber and then have someone come pick me up from another location. I will not take the chance on someone finding my house or finding Sabrina. She is so important to me, and I cannot see why she isn’t aware that I would do anything for her.
Jaden let me out of the room and then locked it back and I spoke with him for a while as I waited for my uber. I told him my plans and that if an emergency came up, he should take Sabrina back to Stone Moon, as she would be safest there. I told him I planned on calling Asher when I was getting back to my pack and then getting my pack divided up, and then I would come back for Sabrina. That he still needed to act as if she were my Luna in every way and protect her with his life. He nodded in agreement, and I know he has a special affection for her, as he does recognize her as being his actual Luna
I glanced back upstairs as I wanted to go back up to her, she was right. Roan had a bad feeling about me going back too, and i didn’t want to leave her, I did want to stay here, but I am the Alpha and I need to finish this. These were my people, my pack members, and they deserved for me to do my very best for all of them. I knew each and every one of them, as they were all important to me. I trained with the warriors, and I knew everyone from the oldest, to the youngest, and it was my responsibility to
get them safely into their new packs
My uber is here and I gave Jaden a smile and told him again to take care of Sabrina again before heading out the front door to get my ride into town, where I would have a warrior pick me up at a local restaurant. I glanced back at the house as I went to get in and I saw Sabrina standing in her window, she is not hiding the fact that she was crying as she watched me go to leave. I waved to her, but she didn’t wave back, and I saw the curtain fall back into place as my driver drove off. I lean my head back onto
the headrest and I wonder, am I making a mistake? Sabrina was really adamant about this being a mistake. She could be right. Both her wolf and mine felt something was going to happen. What if she was right?

I arrived back at my pack and put a call in to Asher and told him that I would like to move forward with our plan and that in two days‘ time, by Tuesday, I would like to have my pack members in their new packs. Asher said that they were going to help us get
this taken care of and asked if he could speak with Sabrina. I told him that I would see if that could be arranged and that I would
have her home with them soon. The call went smoothly from there and I got caught up on my paperwork during my almost three days with Sabrina, as there was always paperwork.
I called Jaden and asked about Sabrina, and Jaden was upset because she was refusing to eat or drink and had mentioned to him that something bad was about to happen. Jaden believed her when she said it, and I feel guilty as I played down her fears, and acted like I didn’t believe her when I actually felt them too.
I told him to do his best, but that if something bad happened I reminded him to take Sabrina to Stone Moon, and that she had told me the same thing. I heard a knock on my door and buzzed it open and I smelled the intoxicating scent of my mate at the door, and I leaped up and walked over to give her a kiss.
I cannot believe Jaden pranked me like this, playing like she was upset and crying when she was right here at my pack and looked fine, with no tears and clearly very happy I won’t be sending her away. Sabrina is here, and here she will stay with me until I get my pack taken care of. I will just keep her with me at all times, and she will be totally safe. I will tell Jaden about himself when I see him, Sabrina hugs me tightly and tells me that she missed me. I just left an hour ago. She didn’t have enough time to miss me yet, but she was really upset when I left, so maybe that was why, I sniffed her neck and gave it a little suck and my mate gave a low moan and it was music to my ears.
I missed her and having her body next to mine, and it looks like she has forgiven me, as she is taking her clothes off and laying across my desk with her legs spread for me and I need no other invitation. I locked my door and quickly strip and went to her and dropped to my knees to give her what she loved first.
Sabrina is screaming out her pleasure and I am so glad that she has forgiven me. I felt so guilty about coming back here because she was so upset, but I know she changed her mind, as she has joined me here now, so she can see that everything is fine here. I was so happy, I have my mate here with me at my pack and she loved me and wanted to be with me. I don’t need anything else in this world other than Sabrina. I told her, “I love you too Sabrina“, and I felt her stiffen in my arms a little, before relaxing. I
stroked her hair and held her to my chest. I wish I had been able to have her in my pack this whole time, but I was worried that Shelby would get her. I hope Shelby stays away for a while, so I won’t have to worry about my little mate, as I know that she
would want to hurt her, and I cannot allow that.
I will do whatever it takes to make sure that we have our happily ever after. If I have to, I would ban Shelby from Golden Summit
until I can get my pack members taken care of. I sniffed Sabrina again and I am so glad that I will be able to sleep in our room
together and in our bed together. I mindlinked an Omega to come to my office after we got dressed and when she arrives, I asked her to go and change out my bedding as my mate had finally arrived. I saw her look at Sabrina in surprise and then look back at me in a questioning way and I clarified by saying, “I need you to change out the linens in my bedroom, from the ones on the bed now. My mate is here, and I would like her to have fresh linens.” The Omega looked surprised again but went ahead to go up to my room to change out the bedlinens. I noticed my mate going with her, probably to see where our room was, and I smiled. after them. I am happier than I have been in a long time, and it is because my mate is finally at my pack. I can’t wait to introduce her to my pack members.
