Understood, Mr. Howard.”
“By the way-”
Tom suddenly remembered something.
When Jane flew from the country to Miran, he couldn’t find her boarding information.
“Jane might not have used her real name. She has a Sinjasta passport. Look up her Enladian name, Janet Hilton.”
“Okay, I’m on it right away.”
But after three days, even though Tom sent all his people to search, they still couldn’t find any information related to Jane.
She had disappeared even more thoroughly than before.
Tom endured three sleepless days, not even a drop of water passing his lips.
He quickly relayed the news to Mr. Westwood.
Mr. Westwood, fearing something might happen to him, called to advise. “Mr. Howard…”
But as soon as the call connected, he heard Tom urgently ask, “Has there been any news of Jane?”
Sighing, Mr. Westwood replied, “No, not her, but you. If you keep going like this, you won’t be able to hold on much longer.”
Mr. Westwood tried to advise again. “I don’t know how you and your sister ended up like this, but she was right about one thing. She’s an adult now, and she has the right to make her own decisions about her life.”
Tom sat in the pitch–black room, silently listening to Mr. Westwood’s advice.
He heard every word clearly, but he couldn’t bring himself to accept it.
This time, Jane had left decisively.
Even Mr. Westwood didn’t know her whereabouts.
She really wouldn’t give him another chance.
Meanwhile, in a quaint little courtyard in the countryside.
Jane was comfortably lounging on a rocking chair, enjoying the sunshine with her eyes closed.
There hadn’t been such good sunlight since autumn began.
Sean was nearby, cleaning his camera equipment.
Seeing that she seemed to have actually fallen asleep, he quietly picked up the camera and took a shot.
Jane, with her keen ears, was quick to recognize the sound of the shutter.
She immediately turned over and sat up, leaning forward to ask, “Let me see. If you made me look ugly, I won’t forgive you.”
“Here, take a look.”
Sean handed her the camera.
Jane smiled in satisfaction. “Your skills are decent. It looks pretty good. I forgive you.”

Seeing her in a good mood, Sean smiled too.
“You’ve forgotten. I’m also Mr. Westwood’s student, and as for age, I’m actually your senior.”
The two of them chatted and laughed for a while.
Until a gust of desolate autumn wind swept through the courtyard.
Sean remembered something and said, “I talked to Mr. Westwood today. He said that your brother has turned Eularo upside down trying to find you. He might continue searching, and also…”
He paused and carefully watched Jane’s expression.
When he saw her merely stop smiling, he continued, “Mr. Westwood also said that your brother’s condition isn’t too good.”
Jane’s voice was calm as she responded, “We’re all adults. We have to learn to live our own lives. That’s his choice.
