So I Had a Baby with the Mistress—Divorce? Seriously? Ch 5
Chapter 5
Michael noticed the takeout Ethan had bought and looked surprised.

“There are so many places near the hospital with food suitable for patients. It’s quite a feat to pick the least appropriate one!”

I saw Ethan clench his jaw, struggling to contain his anger. He simply said he’d cook and bring food himself from now on, telling Michael to mind his own business.

Michael wasn’t having it and said he didn’t trust Ethan.

“I took good care of her after she was discharged, and within a day, she had a miscarriage. You’re not exactly trustworthy.”

Ethan frowned deeply. “Olivia is my wife. Why are you fawning over her? Don’t you know how to keep your distance from a married woman?”

I slammed the spoon down, my tone dripping with sarcasm.

“Do you really have the right to talk about others? Who’s more out of line than you, using your sperm for someone else to have a child?”

Michael widened his eyes, glancing incredulously at Ethan.

Ethan turned red, his neck bulging. In the past, he would’ve stormed off, but today he held back, silently watching Michael until he left.

The next day, Ethan indeed came home and cooked. But when he returned to the hospital room, Sophia Sunny was there too.

Ethan seemed visibly anxious, asking her why she was there.

Sophia, ever the picture of grace, said, “I made some dishes you love. Since Olivia’s been married to you for so long, she must like them too, right?”

I glanced at the dishes. They were indeed Ethan’s favorites.

But this time, Ethan wasn’t pleased. He looked awkward instead.

“These dishes are too greasy for Olivia. It’s better if she eats what I brought.”

Seeing him open the soup and bring it to me, Sophia smiled slightly.

“Being sick really makes one pitiful. Ethan, you used to say you’d only cook for me, and now you’re making an exception for Olivia.”

I chuckled quietly to myself.

I’ve seen these tricks many times over the past two years.

At first, I was insanely jealous, filled with vigilance and anxiety.

Now, I just find these clumsy tactics laughable.

“If you two want to flirt, could you find a hotel? This is a hospital. Spare me, the patient, from wanting to puke.”

Sophia feigned a hurt expression.

“Olivia, can you stop twisting my and Ethan’s relationship?”

But this time, Ethan didn’t rush to defend her or scold me. Instead, he pulled her arm, asking her to leave.

Sophia couldn’t believe her ears, saying she came out of concern and endured discomfort to make those dishes.

Yet instead of gratitude, she got sarcasm and slander.

Ethan’s eyes flickered. “Olivia is a patient… Sunny, you’ve always been generous. Can’t you let her have this one?”

Sophia obviously didn’t expect this response, her mouth agape for a while, finally forcing a smile and agreeing not to argue with a patient.

Once she left, I leisurely drank the soup.

Ethan, seeing I was willing to drink it, was overjoyed, eagerly promising to cook for me again.

I didn’t say much. After resting a few days and recovering, I was discharged.

Back home, the first thing I did was slap a printed divorce agreement in front of Ethan.

“Sign it. I don’t want the house, car, or the money you’ve made these past two years.”

Before his company took off, before I quit to focus on IVF, my salary wasn’t low either.

All my earnings went to the household and supporting Ethan’s startup, so I want 600,000 back.

I think this property division is fair and easy for Ethan.

600,000 doesn’t even cover the designer bags and jewelry he’s bought for Sophia Sunny.

Ethan tore the divorce papers to shreds.

“I just lent my sperm for Sunny to have a child. Is it worth divorcing over?”
