Chapter214
Antonio lurched forward, his complexion drained of all color, and murmured to Tyler, “What happened? How did things go so wrong so fast?
“Grace wasn’t playing us this time? The house is really gone?”
Tyler jumped up, his eyes red with fury, and threw a punch straight at Antonio’s face.
Caught off guard, Antonio crashed to the ground.
Michelle gasped and made a move to go to his aid.
But Antonio brushed Michelle aside and got into a scuffle with Tyler. Quick as a flash, both of them were marked with the signs of a fight. They only stopped when they were too exhausted to continue.
Tyler collapsed on the ground, his face ashen. “Why did I fall for your lies?
“Why didn’t I pick up the phone that day…
“If only I had trusted her, if I had rushed back…
“No, Grace has to be in there. I’ve got to get her out.”
Tyler, in a frenzy, crawled to the remains and began to dig frantically. His friends pleaded with him to stop, but Tyler was beyond reason. Antonio wiped the blood off his face and got up, leaving the chaos

behind.
He said, “Didn’t they say no body was found? Grace’s gotta be alive.
“She’s just pissed and torched the house on purpose, trying to fool us into thinking she’s gone…”
Tyler’s eyes, which were dead with despair, suddenly sparked to life. “Yeah, you’re dead right. Grace’s not dead. I’ll send someone to track her down right away…”
He scrambled to his feet and staggered out of there.
“Antonio, Tyler…” Michelle was a mess, desperate to tag along.
But she tripped, tumbling hard onto the burnt–out remains.
Tyler didn’t seem to catch her screams and cries.
Antonio didn’t pause either, just ordered his assistant to get Michelle to the hospital. Then he hopped in the car and drove off without a backward glance.
The two cars took off like a shot, vanishing from view in a flash.

Chapter215
Antonio and Tyler showed up at the police station one after another.
Tyler introduced himself and asked to see the security tapes.
Once they watched the footage, a young cop pulled out what was left of Grace’s things.
The cop explained, “The video shows Ms. Parrish didn’t leave the villa after going back in, and it’s a good bet she didn’t make it out of the fire.
“There’s some stuff we found at the scene.”
A clear bag held a diamond and a red something that was hard to make
out.
The shape of the diamond was a dead ringer for the one on Grace’s mom’s necklace.
Tyler’s face lost all its color when he saw it, turning him sickly pale.
“These were Grace’s prized bracelet and diamond necklace,” Tyler said, his voice barely above a whisper, like he had a lump in his throat that made it rough.
It was like his chest was being ripped apart by invisible hands, the pain was so bad.
Regret hit him like a tidal wave, swallowing Tyler whole.
Antonio was reeling, seeing stars and feeling like he might topple over.
By the time Michelle got there, Antonio was clearly out of it.
