Leaning casually against a rack of costumes, Davina gave a faint smile. “Why wouldn’t be here?”
Stella’s gaze swept over her like she was trash. “Don’t tell me some sugar daddy got you a role here.”

Stella let out a laugh with so much condescension. “She’s being kept. Probably got tossed a bone–a little role to feel special. I’ll have a word with the director. We don’t need anyone ruining this production”
Ryan’s disgust grew more intense. He asked, “Have you no self–respect?”
Davina folded her arms across her chest, her tone dry and done. “And who gave you the right to decide that? You think I live by your judgment”
Ryan, stung by the insult, snapped, “Do you even remember what it means to be a woman?” Then, as if an epiphany suddenly hut him, his face twisted in scorn. “Wait… is this because of me? Is that why you went off the rails?”
