She used to like him, and he figned that after being rejected, she spiraled into what he saw as self–destruction
He never thought there was anything wrong with publicly revealing Davina’s feelings lack then, But now, if her decline was really because of him, he supposed he should feel a sliver of guilt

Meanwhile, the director was urging Stella for an auilition.
Stella strutted toward the stage where the audition was taking place.
Davina, 100, straightened up and walked forward.
As Stella stepped onto the stage, the director looked her over. She had curled her long blonde hair into waves and wore redesigned white coat, paired with flawless makeup. The director’s brows pulled into a frown, his tone colder than usual,
“Let’s begin,” he said without much interest.
But the first person to step into the scene wasn’t Stella.
li was another actress in a plain white coat who moved swiftly ahead, stealing the spotlight.
Without waiting for a cue, the camera crew had already started rolling.
The scene was a challenging one: a doctor receives an emergency call and rushes into the operating room–all done without props. Every movement would have to be imagined and acted out.
The girl threw on the coat, fastened it in one smooth motion, barely taking time to adjust the fabric, which now hung wrinkled and seal. She didn’t waste a second. Her movements were sharp and practiced. Her entire body radiated purpose.
Even without real props, the way she prepared told a story.
No wasted emotion. No overacting. Just pure efficiency. Even her steps were rushed.
The director leaned forward slightly, a glint flashing in his eyes. “Who’s that?” he asked.
His assistant whispered. “Her name’s Davina Summer. This was actually her slot, but Ms. Stellar jumped the line.”
Stella panicked and cut in, “Director! I should be the one having the audition! What does she know about acting? Get her off the stage!
The assistant made a move to intervene, but the director raised a hand.
His eyes were on the camera, and he urged, “Let her finish. Don’t interrupt
Stella’s face twisted in fury when the director rejected her request. She stared at Davina angrily; she had effortlessly stolen her spot and the spotlight.
