The old man gave a faint smile. “Didn’t she introduce herself as ‘Mother Teresa reborn?”
The driver couldn’t help but laugh at that

After hanging up, the driver grinned. “It was Mr. Jude, wondering why we haven’t arrived yet.”
When Marlon Wilson heard Jude’s name, his face darkened slightly, his eyes narrowing in mild annoyance.
“This kid,” he muttered, “seems like he’s living a carefree life now.”
Back at the villa, Davina retrieved the silver needle she had used earlier that day.

Marlon, leaning on his cane, sat up straight.
As Jude offered the tea, Marlon suddenly struck him on the leg with his cane.
Jude flinched, fighting the pain, but managed to force a smile. “Grandpa, do you really have to get so excited for seeing me?”
Marlon snorted. “Don’t think I don’t know what you’ve been up to these past three years. I’ve heard enough of your misdeeds to have calluses on my ears by now.”
“You abandoned your friends, threw away your responsibilities, and now you come back just to make a fool of yourself, huh?!”
With that, Jude took another hit from Marlon’s cane.

Jude cleared his throat and said earnestly, “Grandpa, don’t believe everything you hear. Why take those rumors so seriously?”
Marlon shot him a disapproving glare.
Only then did he begin to recount the events of the day.
“On the road. I don’t know what happened, but I suddenly fell ill. I didn’t have my medication with me, and the symptoms came on fast. If it weren’t for that young woman, you might be looking at my body right now,” Marlon said calmly.
His medicine was supposed to be with another security guard, but the guard had gone to visit relatives in Zlanta and wouldn’t return until the next day.
Given how rare his episodes were, Marlon hadn’t expected anything to happen today.
Jude’s expression shifted as he processed the information.

The sharp tone made Jerome Castillo straighten up immediately.

Jerome spoke quietly. “It’s with Mel. He went to visit relatives and won’t be back until tomorrow. And based on his usual pattern, Mr. Marlon shouldn’t have had another episode so soon.
