Aside from a few who were interested in the Summers brothers and tried to win Stella’s favor, most people in these circles paid little attention–if any at all.

For the Summers, spoiling Stella had always been the norm. They didn’t even think about it much, as they were used to the special treatment.

Standing hand in hand, Kate and Thomas waited for their children to arrive.
Their faces were lit up with pride.

The family walked toward the hotel, under the watchful eyes of the onlookers.
But just before they could enter, security stopped them.
“Excuse me, are you Mr. and Mrs. Summer from Summer Group?”
Thomas nodded. “Yes, that’s us.”
The security officer continued, “Each invitation is valid for two people only. You have more than that. You’ll need extra invitations
Thomas’s face turned red with embarrassment. “Wait… isn’t each invitation meant for an entire family?”
Other distinguished guests passing by occasionally glanced over.
The attention made the Summers even more uncomfortable. They didn’t want anyone thinking they were trying to slip in without paying their way.
“Yes, isn’t each invitation supposed to be for one family?” Kate hesitated as she asked.
The four brothers and Stella exchanged glances.
“Sorry, but your family still needs three more invitations,” the security guard said with a polite but firm smile.
“How do we get them?” Blair asked in a low, tense voice.

The security guard smiled back. “It’s one million per invitation. You can take care of it with our assistant over there.
Hearing the price of one million per invitation left the Summers stunned.
Ashen–faced, they couldn’t believe it. “Wh–what? A million each?”
It was hard to grasp just how outrageous this was
While one million might not be a huge amount for certain high–profile events, it seemed absurd for this particular dinner.
Since they needed three more invitations, that would be three million, a colossal sum.

event.
But the Summers had already arrived in full force, and backing out now wasn’t an option.
They couldn’t let anyone see them as a joke.
Reluctantly, they handed over the money.
Blair’s face tightened as he swiped his card. Although three million wasn’t a significant amount to him, how it was spent put him in a bad mood.
Once they had paid for the extra invitations, security finally allowed them to enter.
As soon as they stepped inside, they ran into the Holts.
The two families exchanged friendly greetings. Then Kate and Thomas started chatting with the Holts‘ elders.
Due to injuries from Davina’s last attack, Ryan had visible scars and wasn’t attending the event that night.
The elders were deep in conversation, and Stella wandered off to catch up with a couple of heiresses she knew.
