Ashen, already irritated by Davina’s high–handed attitude, quickly added, “Ms. Barlow, Davina does have some serious character flaws. We’ve known her for years, and there must be some misuusderstanding here.”
Davina glanced over at the Summers, a mocking smile playing at the corners of her lips. “Ms. Summer, if you can be the Summers daughter, why can’t I be the Barlows‘ daughter?”
Sacha was now fully enraged. “Do you think I don’t know whether Davina is my daughter? Even if she’s adopted, she’s still daughter. What’s the problem?
