Chapter 71 Too Many Clothes
The engine of the car roared to life and faded into the distance.
Davina frowned, her gaze fixed on the black sedan as it sped away.
Her thoughts unexpectedly returned to earlier that day.
Did he misunderstand something?
Should I someday explain to him that my interest in his body is simply an admiration for an ideal physical form?
As for the kiss, Davina hadn’t really given it much thought.

As soon as Sacha saw Davina, she waved enthusiastically and grinned.
“Davina, you’re back! Come take a look–1 got you a few more outfits! Let me know if they fit. Also, check out these bags! Do you like them?”
Davina smiled and shook her head. “There’s no need to try them on. I love everything you buy
Whenever Sacha came over, she always brought armloads of clothing–luxury brands, of course.
Since getting out of prison, Davina hadn’t had any clothes of her own, so everything she wore now was from Sacha.
It seemed that Sacha had an almost compulsive need to buy her clothes, accessories, and bags.
But Davina wasn’t all that interested in those things–she simply wore whatever was given to her.
So, since now most of what Sacha bought was clothing, almost turning Davina into a living doll, dressing her in something new each day.
Sacha laughed. “You still need to try them out I just love seeing you look beautiful”
She couldn’t have been happier with having such a wonderful daughter, without the need for marriage or children.
I’ll never have to envy other people with daughters again. I have one of my own, and the one I have is better than anyone che’s!” Sacha’s face radiated happiness as she carefully picked out clothes for Davina.
Davina couldn’t help but smile as well.
But in that moment, a faint sadness lingered within her, a trace of the original Davina’s soul.
And with that sadness, there was a hint of gratitude too.
Davina understood that although the original Davina had died, if a person’s feelings of resentment were strong enough, some part of their consciousness could remain within the body
She couldn’t fully explain it
After all explaining how she had somehow traveled through time and taken over this body was already difficult enough.
When Davina first returned to the Suminers, her biological parents hadn’t bought her many clothes.

Initially, when they suggested getting her some new clothes, Stella immediately jumped in.
“I’ve got so many clothes I never wear. Just give them to Davina. That way, you won’t have to spend any money”
Kate smiled and added, “You’re so thoughtful, Stella. Davina, you should take them. Stella’s clothes are all designer, and since she doesn’t want them, you can have them.”
Thomas said with a fond smile, “Now you’re realizing you have too many clothes, huh? Buying so many and still leaving them buried in the back of the closet. Now you’re giving them away.”
So, Davina ended up wearing all of Stella’s “designer” clothes–clothes that Stella didn’t want anymore.
Stella tossed them to her dismissively, then turned around, using the excuse of giving away her old clothes to justify buying
new ones.
But back then, Davina’s simple and modest style, formed from her time with the Palmers and in the countryside, didn’t suit Stella’s clothes at all.
When Davina wore them, the Summers only mocked her.
Stella sneered, “Hahaha, Davina… why do these clothes look so strange on you? Maybe we should have Mom buy you something else instead.”
Blair chimed in. “It’s just not working.”
Lewis spat, “Not everyone can wear nice clothes and suddenly look like a princess.”
Cassia scoffed “Are you serious? Do you even look at yourself? Stella’s clothes will never fit you.”
