Kate nodded. “You two should focus on building a stronger relationship. Your 20th birthday is coming up soon, right? Perfect timing–then we can finalize your engagement.”
Although both families had verbally agreed to the marriage, they still hadn’t set an official date for the engagement
ceremony.
Recently, the Holts had grown more distant, and Kate knew they needed to act quickly to lock down the union.
Stella frowned. “Mom… do I really have to marry him?”
After seeing Jude and Kennedy at Barlow Group dinner, she suddenly felt like Ryan wasn’t all that impressive.
She felt like she could definitely do better.
