I pulled out all the stops and spared no expense to secure my entrance into the Leone family.
As a popular celebrity, I am fully aware of how handsome Salvatore truly is, and of course, his status also greatly appeals to me.
Becoming the godfather’s wife would elevate me beyond a mere female star or a mere socialite; I would ascend into high society, where every socialite and lady of distinction would seek my favor.
I cautiously surveyed everything in the Leone residence, sitting on an expensive imported sofa.
On the coffee table lay a ruby necklace once worn by a princess last century, clearly a top–tier ruby given its color and luster, worth over 427,000 dollars.
I had gone through several brokers to acquire it, specifically to present to the godfather’s mother, knowing that winning her favor was crucial if I wanted to marry the young godfather.
Indeed, the necklace I painstakingly obtained seemed to be very much to Madam Carmela’s liking.
“Roxy, you really know how to behave, unlike Bella, who always sulks as if being the godfather’s wife is such a disgrace!”
I smirked inwardly, hearing that the woman bought by Madam Carmela was not favored, mainly because of her humble background and her failure to endear herself to Madam Carmela.
Meanwhile, I, a noble from Fatale Real Estate and a well–known socialite in the city, have recently enjoyed a successful career leap to top–tier actress.
From my graceful demeanor to my delicate beauty, I dare say I fit Madam Carmela’s criteria perfectly.
Three years ago, if not for the dreadful rumors that endangered the godfather’s position and caused turmoil in Leone family’s stocks, my father advised me to bide my time and watch the situation unfold.
There was a chance that this young godfather, rumored to be homosexual, could be killed by his
own men.
Unexpectedly, Madam Carmela hastily bought a woman from a lesser family to quell the rumors and protect the godfather.

Madam Carmela smiled meaningfully, patting the back of my hand, whispering, “Not just divorced, but he also cured his ailment abroad. He no longer has any problems being intimate
with women.”
“That’s wonderful!” The flame of hope reignited within me. Thinking of Salvatore’s handsome face and perfect physique, I was confident he must be vigorous in lovemaking.
Now that the godfather was healthy and single again, it felt like the stars were aligning in my favor!
Madam Carmela must have noticed my affection for the godfather, so she suggested, “Why don’t I call Salvatore home, and we can have dinner together? It’s been a long time since you two met, a good chance to foster some affection!”
“Absolutely!” With Madam Carmela’s help, how could I worry about securing the position as the godfather’s wife?
The thought of meeting the extraordinarily handsome Salvatore set my heart racing like a runaway train.
Madam Carmela was about to call Salvatore but her phone rang first. She answered it in front of me, not bothering to step away.
“What! That damned girl signed the divorce papers and still dared to come back? I’ll skin that little slut alive!” Madam Carmela was furious, her eyes bloodshot, looking somewhat frightening.
“Madam Carmela, don’t be angry, it’s bad for your health!” Her simple words thrust me into hell. Was that little b*tch Bella still at the Leone residence? Damn it! Why is she still occupying my place!
I wasn’t sure of Madam Carmela’s current feelings toward Bella, but if Bella hindered my path to becoming the godfather’s wife, I would definitely tell my family to have her killed.
Whether it be an accident or a direct shooting, either would suffice.
